Obamas Polish Death Camp Comment Infuriates Polish Americans
By Pete Winn May 31, 2012
(CNSNews.com) President Obama not only angered the people of Poland with a comment he made on Tuesday referring to Polish death camps -- he also infuriated Polish Americans, many of whom live in Obamas home town of Chicago.
The Polish-American Congress, based in Chicago, has sent a letter to Obama saying as much and demanding an apology.
Our community in the United States and abroad was deeply hurt by your reference to the Polish death camps, Polish-American Congress President Frank J. Spula wrote.
This is an egregiously and historically incorrect attribution of responsibility for the death camps installed and maintained by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland, camps in which millions of Poles, both Jewish and Christian, perished.
Obama touched off the firestorm of protest on Tuesday during ceremonies at the White House where he bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously on Jan Karski

What you say is what occurred to me. Hitler’s Nazi’s were in bed with Muslims during WWII. Obama wanted to show his empathy or whatever for the victims to get votes but he couldn’t blame the Nazi-Muslim so he took a chance on a misspeak. However, maybe the man is just dumb.
Barky believes Walesa dissed him when he did not attend a gathering of assorted officials in 2010 or 2011. Walesa believed, and I agree, that he deserved a one on one with Obama. Our esteemed lightbringer holds serious grudges. It didn’t help that when asked about Obama’s policies Walesa commented that the USA was drifting toward socialism. But a leader, no matter his policies, should recognize Walesa’s role in the rebirth of Poland and the downfall of the USSR. But I guess Barky would feel too small to be in such company.
Yes, but we usually call these groups "known enemies" of the United States; e.g., terrorists, radical Islamists, Hugo Chavez, etc.

“When Obama was a Senator from Illinois, he told Polish-Americans that he supported Poland’s inclusion in the visa waiver program. Obama’s former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, made the same promise as a Congressman from Chicago. But once they got into the White House, they did nothing. And now that he’s Mayor of Chicago, Emanuel wants to do away with Chicago’s Pulaski Day holiday.
President Obama is wavering on his support for Poland and Polish-Americans.
Enough is enough. Obama received 56% percent of the Polish-American vote in 2008, to McCain’s 44%. The swing states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania have very large Polish populations. And don’t forget the 430,000 Polish-Americans in Florida. Obama won those states in 2008. Without them this time around, Obama’s campaign is in trouble.
Instead of worrying about Putin’s flexibility, Obama must worry that Polish-American voters are no longer flexible on visas.”
“Not since the 1945 Yalta Conference has an American President been so willing to sacrifice Poland to the Kremlin’s sphere of influence.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that Obama’s open mike comments about missile defense referred to Poland. That’s where these missiles were to go in the first place. Poland has been a thorn in Moscow’s side for centuries. That’s why there are now 10 million Polish Americans in”
May Poland Never Perish !
