MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami police shot and killed a man on the MacArthur Causeway Saturday afternoon, and police sources told CBS4 they had no choice: the naked man they shot was trying to chew the face off another naked man, and refused to obey police orders to stop his grisly meal.
The bizarre shooting happened shortly after 2 p.m., when police responded to a 911 call about two naked men fighting on a bike path along the Causeway, which was packed with traffic on a busy holiday weekend....

"There's something weird about a man named 'Renfield' posting a story about a man eating another man's face."
A weird coincidence is more like it. Renfield is the insect-eating madman who skulks on the periphery of events in Bram Stoker's "Dracula".
Who can forget the iconic scene in that grainy old Dracula film of Renfield in his padded cell grabbing flies on the fly and popping them alive into his mouth!
(....those 10-cent Saturday matinees at the local Bijou were the days, my friend).

Immediately after the 1926 Hurricane in Miami, my parents went out to survey the chaos.
My dad said, at the west end of the causeway, beneath the bridge, was a dead woman, floating in the water. There was a man chewing on the dead woman’s finger to get her diamond ring. A policeman at the scene told him to stop and come out of the water. He didn’t so the policeman shot him twice, killing him.
A crowd of about 40-50 witnessed it.
The location is less than a mile from where the Miami Heat/ American Ailines Arena is today.
