Effete: affected, overrefined, and ineffectual; see "Chris Hayes." OK, I appended the name of the MSNBC host to the dictionary definition. But if ever you wanted to see the human embodiment of the adjective in action, have a look at the video from his MSNBC show this morning of the too-refined-by-half Hayes explaining why he is "uncomfortable" in calling America's fallen military members "heroes."
Hayes is worried that doing so is "rhetorically proximate" to justifications for more war. Oh, the rhetorical proximity!

Clearly living in la la land
Liberal talking head says he’s “uncomfortable” calling fallen members of our military “heroes.” Ping to Today show list.
Faggot.
that’s ok because I am uncomfortable calling Chris Hayes an American - just sayin
A knob-gnashin’, peter puffer to be sure.
no, he’s not uncomfortable, he’s an ungrateful @ss. He wouldn’t have the Right to say a lot of the drummed down BS he spews except for the sacrifices of all of our fallen heroes. All gave some, some gave all just so that jack@ss can spew his drivel.
That’s something that all of these leftist mouth breathing wastes of oxygen need to understand... they wouldn’t be able to voice their opinions if it weren’t for the people that they hate so much.
Respect those that gave their lives for all of us. It’s the least we can do and yes, they are heroes because if it weren’t for them, we’d be slaves or dead right now.
That’s Rachel Madcow’s mini-me!
So funny his name is ‘Chris’; wasn’t that ‘Pat’s’ significant other’s name on SNL??
Besides being born without an upper lip, what and who is Chris Hayes ?
All of his fancywords and pontification to try and justify his anti-American and far left slant will do him no good one day if a radical Islamic is grabbing a hold of him to "slaughter" him on camera.
At that time, you can bet your backside that he will be looking for, hoping for, screaming for some of those individuals in our military whom he scholastically and intellectually refuses to acknowledge as the heores they are.
God preserve the Republic from such as this.
Can we arrange for him to be "uncomfortable" in...say...North Korea?
It is really ashamed that he feels so very limited in his verbage potential. In contrast, I feel quite expanded and have absolutely no problem calling him any number of names.
He ends with the words “...but maybe I’m wrong about that”. I would say so. When we honor those who have given their lives for this country, we indeed honor heroes. It takes a hero to willingly give his life so that his fellow Americans remain free. They are a cut above the rest of us.
This wannabee intellectual is “uncomfortable” with calling them heroes, because he knows he cannot, nor will not, rise to the occasion. He has no heroic bone in his body. And instead of elevating them, he wants to bring them down to his own pathetic irrelevance.
It’s great to see this smarmy little communist faggot speaking from his heart.
The more he does so, the better for our side.
Do you have cable? You’re financing this commie propaganda...that means YOU, Sean Hannity.
Another “useful idiot” leftist tool, who the closest he ever came to serving his country was picking up cig butts on Green Up Day and the closest he ever came being in “harms way,” was when he tried to grab a box of Girl Scout Cookies and not pay for them and nearly got his ass whipped by some 12 year old girl.
John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)
he fancies himself is an American broadcaster, journalist and liberal political commentator.
I’ve never heard of him before and now I’m sorry that I have. Even by MSNBC standards, he’s a nut.
a real traitor in the flesh here
