Top union officials are lashing out at Washington Democrats, claiming they haven't done enough to help them unseat Gov. Scott Walker (R) in Wisconsin's recall election.
President Obama has been silent on the race since his campaign released a statement endorsing Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) immediately after his primary victory two weeks ago. The Obama campaign is helping Barrett with get-out-the-vote operations, but the president has not publicly mentioned the race.
The Democratic National Committee has been similarly tight-fisted. The DNC sent out a fundraising email for Barrett, and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) will be in Wisconsin for a fundraiser next week, but the national party has refused entreaties to give the state party money.
The election is on June 5, just 10 days away.
International Association of Fire Fighters President Harold Schaitberger acknowledged the DNCs help on the ground but said a major cash investment would have been worth a lot more.
"I'm very disappointed that the DNC has not seen fit to make a dollar investment," Schaitberger said. "When you're facing $25 million or more in super-PAC funds, you need money. The campaign needed funds to get up on the air to fight back. ... I think that would have been a good investment going into November."

We want our bought and paid for Rats to put some of our money back in this election ... and send in the head clown ... and therefore it'll be entirely their fault if they don't do it and we lose and we look like even bigger idiots ... and it'll be entirely their fault if they cave in and we lose cause they waited so long ... and in no case will it be the fault of union leadership!
The happiest guy on the planet to hear that news is Walker...
In reality most all Democrats and Republicans live election to election and try to keep that sort of stuff OUT OF MIND.
The politicians don't want to have to double their campaign expenses and time, and the voting public don't want to be bothered.
The 0-bots, fur shur, don't want people to think about removing anybody ~ least of all their guy ~ from office prematurely!
Give, sell, toss, or lay upon them all the knives, axes, guns or bats that they want or ask for.
These liberal scum sure have a fixation for money don't they?
As I’ve noted elsewhere, in his recent public appearances and in his press releases, Obama seems to be coming apart. Wildly inappropriate. Huge mumbling mistakes. Rabid attacks against his own rich donors. Calling his daughters his sons. Changing his attacks daily without any apparent plan. Refusing to believe unfavorable polls. His handlers’ fevered reaction to his finally being mildly vetted (I suspect far more is to come). I honestly don’t see him lasting until November without his utterly losing his “cool persona.”
I expect him to develop a visible tremor in his hands any day now.
The SEIU and the teachers’ unions picked the fight, not the Democratic party. The Democrats at the national level were perfectly happy to stay away (with the possible exception of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz). They are coming into the fight this fall with a scarcity of funds already, and this recall effort, in the rational scheme of things, is a distraction to their primary goal, which is to get Obama re-elected. Now the reliability on the electoral votes from Wisconsin is thrown into doubt.
This may end up costing the national Democrat party much more than they can afford.
Winning may not be everything, but losing isn’t anything.
Why should the Dems help? It’s the union’s recall.
So true! Does that give the “bite-it-you`re-on-your-own” message or not..
ROFL!!
It’s my experience that in general, union people are bullies. Any time I have mentioned to a union employee that I don’t believe in public sector unions, they immediately try to bully and intimidate me. Fat chance, I stand my ground pretty good and it infuriates them.
The DNC is not worried about this. After all, where will the unions go? To the GOP?
"Axelrod, you idiot!"
Obama may be smarter than we think. He probably knows if he campaigns against Walker, more people will vote for walker.
Now we need to launch concerted efforts to challenge as many of the rats as possible, turn about is fair play, and drain their resources too.
It was reported that even Slick Willie Clinton had commented that governors shouldn’t have to live under the threat of recall.
Serves you right to suffer...bitchiz. Losers liars power mad idiots
