As far as Ohio is concerned, Matt Borges is a lobbyist for Equality Ohio, founded in 2005 by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender activists after Ohio voters passage of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.
Hes also the new executive director of the Ohio Republican Party.
Borges, recently named to his role by Ohio GOP Chairman Robert T. Bennett, said he will take a leave of absence from the Columbus lobbying firm Roetzel & Andress through the end of the year and will resign as a lobbyist registered with the Joint Legislative Ethics Committee.

By the way, this is one of Kasich's boys.

Driving away social conservatives by pandering to people that will NEVER vote for you anyway is NOT a winning strategy!
Learn it!
I assume the Columbus Dispatch is a lib paper, taking great pleasure in using this to attack the Ohio republicans by noising it as loudly as they can?
Now they are coming into the backdoor.
pun intended.
Not my Republican party.
“I assume the Columbus Dispatch is a lib paper, taking great pleasure in using this to attack the Ohio republicans by noising it as loudly as they can?”
....yeah...but did the Dispatch hire LGBT lobbyist or did the GOP? They (the GOP) needs to be willing accept the consequences of their decisions. If they don’t like the consequences...then don’t do stupid stuff like this.
They couldn't hang 'em if the formerly grand old party didn't hand 'em the rope.
C'mon, Dingleberry, don't be shy. Speak right up.
The MIttbots have forgotten 2006 where WE LOST over this very same question ~
And people say this jerk is our only hope for the future. Please....This is just another reason out of millions, I can’t vote for the turd. Virgil Goode or bust.
I think this guy is a great choice for the GOP.
He has experience telling people to bend over and take it.
oy
And the RINO Revolution continues...*spit*
Actually the Romney republicans are risking their careers. Two of Mitt’s ringers who voted to change the rules the day after the Michigan primary were voted out of their RNC seats the other day.
From Psalm 68:
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens.
Our God is a God who saves;
from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.
Surely God will crush the heads of his enemies,
the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins.
The Lord says, I will bring them from Bashan;
I will bring them from the depths of the sea,
that your feet may wade in the blood of your foes,
while the tongues of your dogs have their share.
What does one make of a putative candidate who does everything he can to try to lose to an incumbent President who shouldn’t possibly be able to win?
I'd go further ~ reject all Romney delegates from Michigan.
Could be why this guy never ran in Idaho or Utah or Arizona!
