The stage is being set so that military Chaplains can and most likely will be ordered to perform same sex marriage in contradiction to their religious beliefs.
WASHINGTON, May 22, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Democrat House leaders including Nancy Pelosi have opposed a measure to ensure military chaplains are not forced to perform same-sex “marriages,” arguing that it is based on a “manufactured crisis” and therefore unnecessary - a response strongly criticized by chaplain advocates.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday echoed sentiments issued by the Obama White House regarding the conscience language, part of a defense spending bill, saying that “there’s nothing that says that chaplains act against their faith.”
The result will be that chaplains of certain faiths abandon the military as they are forced to choose between violating their faiths or being driven out for not performing such marriage ceremonies.

This is a bad issue for the Democrats to allow to come up in the swing states this fall. If you were marginally looking good in five or six states...this topic alone probably trims off three percent of your vote for November. The Democrats could have easily had language already prepared and settle this quickly....but they just can’t do that.
The obvious goal is to drive military chaplains that won’t play along with the gay marriage scam to get in line or get out. Most will leave the military.
That this is happening in the United States military is beyond disgusting and another reason I believe voters will throw Obama and the Democrats out of power in November. If not, America is doomed and citizens that voted for Obama and the radical Democrats will have brought that doom on us all.

He should do a giant can of whoop ass smack down on Pelosi, but he is too cowardly to fight the demoRATs, especially his best friend golfing partner 0dumb0. That could easily take place by making that a requirement in order to maintain 501.c.3 tax-deductability status.

There are some interesting problems with trying to force Chaplains to act against their faith.
First and foremost, they are commissioned officers, and as such, can resign at the drop of a hat. But they cannot be ordered to perform religious rites.
More importantly, both command officers and NCOs highly respect Chaplains, and will go to great lengths not to tease or annoy them. It goes very deep into warriors to respect those who give warriors their last rites.
