Another large group of people marched down Walla Walla East Isaacs Avenue last night demanding justice for Cesar Chavira. The 22-year-old was shot by New York Store owner John Saul May 4 during a foiled burglary attempt.
All this right here its just family, friends, the people who loved him, and the people who knew him, Chaviras friend Jessie said.
Jessie said he understands Cesar made a bad choice to break into the store, but he didnt deserve to die for the mistake. He said he wont rest until justice is served.
Well take it civil, but either way hes gonna get justice. What he did was in the wrong. He knows hes in the wrong. He has to live with that and sleep with that. And honestly I just cant wait until he gets justice, Jessie said.
According to his lawyer, a Walla Walla store owner who shot and killed a known gang member trying to break into the store was defending his property.
John Saul, owner of New York Store, told his lawyer that he came out to the front of the store early Friday morning after he heard the sound of glass breaking.
Saul, who lives on the property on Isaacs Avenue, confronted Cesar Chavira, 22, and told him to "hold it".
Michael Hubbard, Saul's lawyer, told KAPP/KVEW Chavira said "I'm gonna kill you", and Saul responded by shooting him with his shotgun.
The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office said deputies are still investigating the case.
Hubbard said the Walla Walla County Prosecutor told him there are no charges pending and is not expecting to charge Saul with any crimes.
Saul opened the store the same morning of the shooting and has been operating the store since.
The Sheriff's Office said Chavira was a known gang member in the community and had a history of criminal activity in Walla Walla and Milton-Freewater. (LINK)
ALL OBAMA VOTERS. Not an accident.
So he didn't deserve to die for threatening the store owner with death? Well, maybe in Bizarro-world....
A mistake? A mistake is forgetting to carry the 1 when adding numbers.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
You break into someone’s store you get shot. If I had a store and a gangster told me that they were going to kill me and I had gun I would do the same thing. His friends should be marching to end gang violence not justice for the gangster.
There needs to be “justice” for Chavira.
They should hunt down and exterminate his family and his fellow gangsters.
That would be justice for all the pain and suffering Chavira and his ilk inflict on the world.
Of course, if Cesar had killed the store owner, there would be no marching.
So a criminal who attempts a break in and tells the owner of the property “I’m gonna kill you” gets “justice marches” and mournful sorrow from liberals and racists. What a backwards country! I’m starting to lose hope.
This store owner should do a counter lawsuit against the family.
They brought the ***stain to life and raised him to be a criminal.
They need to be held accountable for the damage, grief and distress that their “good little boy” inflicted on the guy.
The cost of the defense would shut them up right quick.
The worthless POS received his “justice” from the business end of the shotgun. Kill a gang member, save innocent lives.
Live like a gangbanger, die like a gangbanger.
Sounds like they already got it.
(Jessie said he understands Cesar made a bad choice to break into the store, but he didnt deserve to die for the mistake.)
When you are a dirt bag, scum bucket criminal, breaking the law, you should understand that you stupidity and evilness can and is likely to result in your death..........
Chavira said “I’m gonna kill you”, and Saul responded by shooting him with his shotgun.
.....Cesar learned a lesson, skip the “I’m gonna kill you”, crap. You ran into a guy that shoots first and warns later.
Jessie said he understands Cesar made a bad choice to break into the store, but he didnt deserve to die for the mistake. He said he wont rest until justice is served."
Jessie, if you don't rest.....you may very well RIP!
Well take it civil, but either way hes gonna get justice."
Or, you'll take it on the chin...Apparently, Whitey ain't taken' it no more, capisce? Your buddy got justice already, Jesse, go rob a bank, they don't shoot people robbing the lousy, rich banks! /s
Maybe they shouldn’t teach their children to steal!
