Does the GOP’s Demographic Death Spiral End in a Texas Graveyard?
The New American ^ | 22 May 2012 | Selwyn Duke

If Democratic voters were rapidly increasing in number and Republican voters rapidly decreasing, it should be pretty big news, shouldn’t it?

Not when at issue is a third rail of American social commentary: race.

Recently I wrote a piece on race and voting patterns, using as a lede the story about how white births now account for less than 50 percent of the U.S. total for the first time in history. And while most respondents agreed with my analysis, some reacted predictably: Uncomfortable even hearing about race and/or frightened by what lies ahead, they rationalized away obvious facts.

And here is one: You cannot understand where our nation is headed ideologically without grasping the link between racial identification and voting patterns — and demographic changes that will yield Democratic hegemony.

This guy is one of the only people in the media honest about this issue. And I think he's right. It won't be easy for Romney to win.

If you look at the electoral map, states reliably or likely for Mitt Romney account for only 170 electoral votes while states reliably or likely for Barack Obama account for 243

That implies the GOP has a chance to take Wisconsin. If not, make it 253. Romney would pretty much have to run the table the rest of the way.

The party will have to change. Much like the DNC.

Majorities never last forever in an empire.

“Majorities never last forever in an empire.”

Empires never last forever, especially when they lost their important majority.

Though the GOP has already morphed into the Democrat party circa 1990, today's Democrat party will always out-democrat them, becoming increasingly radical. In spite of the Bush, Rove, Rubio etc prattle about 'reaching out' the GOP is doomed.

IMO the only way this will not play out in the total destruction and replacement of the American Experiment is a total economic collapse and radical restructuring of the welfare state, which is underwriting the demographic shift.

Sure, because some day there will me a mjority of "people of color" and we all know they are monolithic block that depends on white democrat politicians to tell them what to think, right?

The demographics favor the emergence of a white minority someday down the road, a couple more generations away. When it happens, when the Hispanics are the majority (or whoever) we will suddenly discover that they are not all alike after all, and the parties will shift to accommodate. It ultimately may lead to the death of the GOP as we know it, but truthfully those country club patricians that run it now really do need to be turned out so at least some good will come of it.

Hispanics will be democrat, but will bring about the opposite of the utopia American liberals dream of. The American liberal’s most important ideals include: Women’s rights, animal rights, the environment, promotion of homosexuality, planned small families, and equality.

The hispanic culture embraces sexism, animal fighting, could care less about the environment, proud of expressing their hostility for gays, have huge families, and systematically give better treatment to those with lighter skin.

Too early for anything to be valid. I'll take a tip from the old song and "see you in September - sealed with a Myth".

The planned takeover/change of the US is moving right along. Get rid of white-heterosexual-multigenerational Christian American males. They’re the only obstacle to the NWO’s plans.

The reason that most of the media are afraid to discuss these issues, is because the policies that have led to this self-destructive path have all been pushed (successfully, unfortunately) by compulsion driven fanatics, who intimidate ordinary people by the sheer nastiness of their rhetoric. Most people hesitate to enter a discussion, where for two generations those on the other side have relied not on reason, but on name calling.

It took Rome about five centuries to self-destruct to the extent that America has almost reached in two generations. I have been fighting the ideological underpinnings of the Left on this since college, and while they have never yet come up with a logically sustainable argument, they continue to successfully intimidate. But as to their "argument," see Reason Or Compulsion--The Future At Stake. You might also find this piece on Immigration & The American Future of interest.

The issue is further compounded by the relationship of the insane notion that people are interchangeable, with the effort on the Left to submerge America into a World Government. Obviously, breaking down the traditional American ethnicity is a major step in that direction. (See Surrender By Subterfuge.)

One other note: Thomas Jefferson, who had no animosity towards any people, actually explained that he bought Louisiana as a buffer for the Anglo/Celtic cultured Eastern States from the Hispanic world. Just look at how greatly the now Mestizo dominated neighborhoods in California differ from the Anglo neighborhoods that they replaced. The idea that peoples are interchangeable is the ultimate insult to everyone. It fits the Marxist lie, but not reality.

I disagree. We do care about the environment, we just don’t freak out and buy the Gore koolaide on the subject.

It is hard to get fellow Hispanics to vote their values, not the BS liberals have been selling for years. Then again, we do have a good conservative Hispanic governor here in New Mexico.

Yes, this situation is attributable in a significant part to the effort from the Left to betray us into a new world order. (See my post #10.)

Uh, what? It was a big story. Does this guy want us to talk about nothing else, or what?

Romney has problems growing within the GOP. Just the other day, two of the people who voted to change the rules in his favor after the Michigan primary were voted out of their NRC seats and replaced by tea party supported people.

Yeah, I’m confused as to why people assume that when hispanics become the majority they will continue with the exact same ideology. That may be so, but who knows? We’ve never had a non-white majority to test it. But we have had minorities within whitehood, like Catholics, Germans, Irish Italians, etc., and they all eventually became indistinguishable from other white people. Perhaps hispanics will do the same.

I probably spoke too strongly about couldn’t care less about the environment, but I am married to woman from Mexico, so I can see that the environment is not such an important issue in Mexico as it is here.

I would suggest that you reexamine the changes in voting patterns with the settlements of particular peoples in urban America--not just on national origin lines, but even within particular nationalities, of particular subsets. (For example, the Germans who settled in Cincinnati were mostly from Conservative roots in Germany--hence fit in quite well with the existing southern Ohio culture; while Milwaukee drew German Socialists from the same era, and was electing Socialist Mayors for generations--and still has a Leftist leaning.)

Or look at the voting patterns in New York City!

Luckily, there is a countervailing trend, identified by Prof. Arthur Brooks, which I’d label the “Portlandia” trend. What it amounts to is that white liberals aren’t having kids, but conservative Christians are.

No worries, I understand. In Mexico, as in most of Latin America, the big issue is to put food on the table. For most working class families in the US, it is the same thing. Especially with the lib propensity to bankrupt states and the country.

It is time to oppose the same sorry mistakes that McCain and the RINO Party made in 2008.

It is also time for us as Conservatives to recognize and avoid making the same sorry mistakes that WE made in 2008.

One mistake that we made in 2008 was to revert back to the old days when we were known as “The Silent Majority.” We grumbled, held our noses, and Caved-In as all good RINO sheep are expected to do.

Our Silent Caving-In in 2008 created the problem that MANY Conservatives refused to vote for McCain.

IF we behave in 2012 as RINO Sheep and Cave-In to whoever the RINOs endorse, nominate and support, then we Conservatives are no better than our RINO U.S. Representatives and Senators who always Cave-In.

This election is for ALL of the marbles! We cannot afford to play the old RINO game that caused the defeat of McCain to Marxist Obama in 2008.

Obama is much stronger politically now than he was against McCain in 2008, but the RINO Party refuses to consider that reality.

It is time to DUMP ROMNEY who is obviously to weak of a candidate to beat Obama.

The Delegates need to choose in an OPEN Convention a strong NON-RINO Nominee who can soundly defeat Obama, and coat-tail U.S. Senators and Representatives into Congress.

Romney is not that man: DUMP ROMNEY!

We must learn from the mistakes made by the McCain Campaign and rub the collective noses of the RINOs in it!

Romney is counting on the old Classical Conservative Cave-In.

I can hear Romney now: “You have no choice but to vote for me. I’ll be even more severely Conservative than I was when I rammed through Romney”care.” Trust me, I know how The Economy works. Etc, etc., etc.”

The battle to win back a CONSERVATIVE White House is starting to break wide open!
