It's a kid's water pistol turned into a 20-gauge shotgun?
Try that link again:

I have seen a massive collection of ordinary items that have been modified to shoot ammunition, one of the coolest was an ordinary tire iron that fired a .22magnum.
CA already wants all toys to be clear to show the workings.
Well then somebody will make clear ammunition. Clear plastic cases, bullets made of clear super hard urethanes. Powder may be a problem but neccesity is the mother of invention.
I would say its possible to extrude a clear propellant eventually. Or maybe its already been done...
Water gun modified? No, not really. No more then putting a gun inside a paper bag modifies the paper bag into a gun.
I don’t doubt it; as you said, “neccesity is the mother of invention”, and it most likely will happen. And probably someday sooner than later.
It has been said that one night, when all were asleep, G*d picked up the east coast of America by Florida and Cape Cod, tilted the nation, and all the nuts, fruits and flakes rolled down to California.
I can find no other reason for California so regularly embracing the “Overtly Unreal” as truth.
As Scrooge would have said of California - “BAH! Humbuggery!”
There’s a local TV news film clip at the Fox News link, but other than a metal barrel, it doesn’t give much info on how he did it. Obviously, they don’t want that released, but I’m sure “it’s already out there” on how to do it.
Seems to me that it’s take a lot more metal parts than just a barrel, wouldn’t it?
Water gun modified? No, not really. No more then putting a gun inside a paper bag modifies the paper bag into a gun.Exactly. It was a plastic casing around some kind of a zip gun for disguise. Are reporters really as stupid as bags of hammers, or are they just required to pretend to be?
His biggest mistake was using a toy that looked like a gun.
It’s just as easy to make a firearm out of a Barbie doll, or Nerf football, it doesn’t matter what you use to conceal it.
In my youth, I (knew) kids that routinely made weapons out of car antennas or plumbing parts that were multiple use “guns”. It so simple, anyone but The Kenyan could do it.
I work with composites, and I can say its not difficult to make a shotgun shell out of a clear polymer, it may be a one shot affair and not re-loadable. Every angle and dimension can be duplicated. The primer would be an issue...for now.
And the slug can be a solid chunk of leaded glass for weight with a polymer shell or jacket so it will rifle or be rifled.
Now doing the same to a cartridge would be more demanding because then you lose all semblance of ballistics.
Yes on the first, from what I can tell. Chrissy Matthews was just on Jeopardy, and boy did he ever stink it up.
I really think this is a true guide being used in the field, and not a joke:
Get rid of the restrictions and this wouldn’t be a problem.
I’ve heard of people that turned ordinary kitchen knives into weapons. What will they think of next?
As kids in the 50s, we used to take Mom’s pinchy clothespins, reverse one of the wood pieces thru the spring, and we could shoot “barnburner” matches 15-20ft, but that’s all I learned how to do. Our sisters would have kicked the crap out of us had we tried to steal their Barbie Dolls and “modify” them. LOL!
Zip guns are pretty simple. There is no action per se just the pipe barrel and something to function as a firing pin.
Ping to squirt-shotgun conversion.
Police find “anti tank gun” in mans apartment. (sounds like an inert launcher tube to me)

My first thought was that it was just a cleverly painted PVC WD40 or hairspray propellant spud gun.
Speaking of such any guess when THOSE will be declared illegal?
Actually I could make one heck of a grenade gun with some thick wall PVC, not the thin schedule 40, sc80 or such. Combine with some workings from say a butane powered framing hammer, a rotary carousel from a kitchen cabinet and I have a resistance style streetsweeper that can fire ammonia/bleach filled ping pong balls.
The problem the more they clamp down the more pressure builds against tyranny. granted its wrong to use a disguised weapon at the wrong time but what about when its needed at the RIGHT time?
Is it safe?
