The U.S. and French First Ladies couldn't hide their awkwardness as they posed for photos ahead of a youth centre visit in Chicago. Michelle Obama wrapped with one arm around the waist of Valerie Trierweiler and with the other she gripped the French First Lady's hand tightly. Towering above Miss Trierweiler, Mrs Obama was very much in control. She didn't loosen her grip as she turned to embrace the French President's partner, placing her other hand on Miss Trierweiler's back to pull her closer.

Looking at that picture, I’m thinking that Miss Trierweiler is going to have to go Will Smith on Michelle’s ass.
Yes, that is a very attractive outfit. She could have used a dash of color as an accent, but it is such a huge improvement over her usual. And I was shocked to see her standing properly in that shot.
I suspect that the Obama campaign had a little sit-down with her in which they told her to try to appeal to the rest of America instead of going for in-your-face fashion disasters.

The purple dress she wore the day before at the White House I thought was completely out of step and out of place with the other ladies even though it was a pretty dress—entirely appropriate for her daughter to wear for her Middle School graduation party. All the other women were dressed similarly to this beige outfit she’s wearing in these photos. If the French lady’s outfit is what the other women were wearing this day(?)then she’s a day late and still wrong. Sure tough predicting what is the right outfit to wear!
That shape of dress becomes the W shows off her best features.... I still don’ t like her tho.
Yes, the purple dress was pretty, but it was not her, that’s for sure. Still an improvement over so many of her outfits.
