No sooner did the literary agency brochure in which Barack Obama was said to be Kenyan-born surface than the media went to work to deep-six it.

"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me - an agency assistant at the time," Miriam Goderich, now a named partner in the literary agency, Dystel & Goderich, wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News, which was then picked up ABC News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."

This confession rings false to the point of preposterous for any number of reasons. Let us start with the obvious. At the time, 1991, the Acton & Dystel agency listed 90 clients, Obama among its least significant. How likely is it that Goderich would have remembered enough about a 1991 "error" to know it was hers, especially since it went uncorrected through several revisions until changed in 2007? To make this claim credible, there would have to be an existing paper trail leading to an Obama submission in which he lists an Hawaiian birth. I am confident that there is no such submission.

I recall reading that Zer0 was with mom, Stanley Ann, who was taking courses at the University of Washington. They were there for two years. I believer that Stanley Ann was receiving state assistance from Washington State. They should have information about Zer0’s birth circumstances on record in their state archives if indeed, they did receive state assistance.

I wonder why no one has not requested those records?

I’m not convinced Stanley Ann was on state assistance. I think her family had enough money for her to go to college. Besides, a lot of those kinds of assistance programs didn’t really exist until the late 1960s. Here’s a great opportunity, though, to chase this down. Good luck. Share your findings.

Here's something to ponder.

I think it more likely that the trip from Kenya actually occurred in August 1961, shortly after BHO-II's birth at the Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa.

Ann and her newborn son flew from Nairobi to London, via BOAC Flight BA162 and then took the non-stop BOAC flight from London to Vancouver, Canada. She then traveled the 110 miles or so, across the border, to Seattle in time to start Fall Semester, night-school extension classes at the University of Washington.

The trip would be challenging for a new mother, but she was young, healthy, intelligent, and capable. BOAC was very accomodating to mothers with young children back in the 1960s. No real problem!

It’s an incredible development. How can you get around it?

The same way Obama's getting around not talking about the economy. Bring up anything else to act as a diversion. This included.

All this proves is that Obama will go to any length to not talk about his record. Bringing the birther issue again helps him do just that, and he gets to re-brand his enemies as nothing more than "birthers."

Don't fall for it folks. The more talk there is about the "birther" thing again the less focus on Obama's abysmal record on the economy, jobs, taxes, foreign affairs, and the list goes on, and on and on.

Stop enabling Obama's strategy of distraction and focus on what matters at this point in the election: IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID!

That's what the American people understand and feel in their bones. They see their spouse under/unemployed, they see family members and friends unemployed, losing their homes, etc. THAT and ONLY THAT is what we need to focus on to get rid of this POS.

Not birther issue again. Yes, it really is that simple. Stop being tool's of Obama and Axelrod's campaign of distraction!
