Who has ever said that? They only have to be “CITIZENS” at the time of the birth. Naturalized or Native. Whether they meet the added requirements to be president of “Natural Born” status is irrelevant.

But-—I believe both parents have to be at least just plain citizens. It is misleading to speak of NBC being the same as plain C. Even the Constitution is explicit in differentiating between the two categories of citizen for national elective office holders.

You are correct that both parents don’t have to be NBC’s for their son to be eligible to run for President in the US, BUT they both have to be of age and also citizens of the US. Obama’s claimed father was not a US citizen, but was a citizen of Kenya under British rule.
