If ONLY Saint Skittles hadn't attacked George, he would probably be alive today to tweet on his "no limit n-word" account.

Pure conjecture on the part of the police. Since when are police “jurors”.

You have that right.

If only the Neighborhood Watch leader had stayed home, and let a teenage pothead rob, vandalize, pillage and rape as he saw fit, nothing would have happened.

How dare he patrol his neighborhood and stop “Youff” from doing what “dey gotta do”.

Ultimately aren’t all crimes or accidents potentially avoidable

"Trayvon Martin’s death was ‘ultimately avoidable’"

Yes, if he only didn't try to beat Zimmerman to death.

lol

total garbage.

Punks like Trayvon attack police in uniform all the time, Zimmerman identifing himself would have changed nothing. Trayvon wanted to act like a punk, and died as one.

If only the kid was not on suspension from school....he'd be in his own neighborhood instead of daddy's girlfriend's neighborhood.

So let's get back to the school and how they handle these known criminals.

Trials are supposed to be based on evidence and facts.

This police statement means absolutely nothing in terms of liability for a crime. The Stand Your Ground Law makes it so.

This kids life was on track for much criminal activity. The MSM and now LEO would rather he be alive and be there to take possibly many innocent lives in the years to come.

Trayvon was there because of a school suspension — right!?

The cops told him to stop following Traydmark so what is the evidence he continued to do so? From what I read he did stop following him and that is when Traydmark walked up to him and sucker punched him and started wailing on him.

This is indeed fortunate.

Now that we know that police are omniscient and are able to divine what happened without having actually been present, we can dispense with the entire judicial system.

This will save the taxpayers gobs of money, and free up all lawyers and judges to engage in product pursuits.

I don’t think it could have been avoided unless the little black punk had of stayed at home...I would have shot him if he had me pinned on the ground bashing my head on the concrete...

“or conversely, if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog”

Except, of course, he couldn’t find TM and headed back to his vehicle.

When TM approached him, according to GZ the conversation went:

TM: “Do you have a problem with me?”
GZ: “No.”
TM: “You do now (possible expletive)!” *punch*

It’s rather difficult for me to see that GZ didn’t act as he should have in that exchange. He was asked a question, answered it in a distinctly non-confrontational way, and then was feloniously assaulted.

I guess I would say that the shooting might have been avoidable if GZ were a skilled martial artist. By the way, I recommend hand to hand training to anyone, and especially if you want to carry. It sounds paradoxical, but this altercation shows the reason very clearly. In our society, we can’t just draw whenever we feel “threatened”. So, your potential assailant may be quite close before you know you need to draw. So, it’s best to have a real strategy in mind to open up some space in order to access your weapon without interference.

A quick sidekick to a kneecap works nicely, and may completely end the threat in itself. At least you can probably run away faster than your assailant can follow. ;-)

and if Zimmerman hadn’t had a weapon...He'd be tweeting how he kicked some Latino Ass!

but that was avoided!......... and his death became "unavoidable!"

If ONLY Z had allowed the little "saint" to bash his head in and perhaps kill him, then this would all have been avoidable, dontcha know?

Haven't read this report, but I'm curious as hell as to the "date" of this so called, "conclusion."

...conversely, if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party's concern,"

How the **** can any of them possibly know that Zimmerman identifying himself would have changed anything at all?

If George Zimmerman had fully realized that his life was expendable, and that anyone with darker skin than his has thee right to take his life at will, then this needless tragedy would not have occurred.

But every once in a while some uppity white will think he has the right to live, or even to question his masters...

The second part is bunk anyways...how does the police officer know that Zimmerman did not do exactly that (”identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog in an effort to dispel each party’s concern”)? There are no witnesses to how this started, and the prosecution already admitted as much.

All they have is Zimmerman getting out his car, and they have to show that that act equals the intent to kill Martin, at the time he left his vehicle. The whole “it could have been avoided” argument is flimsy at best. It could have been avoided thousands of ways. To single out one act in this whole chain is a pretty lame attempt, but it is all they have.

If only Zimmerman would have locked himself in his home. Stayed off his neighborhood roads and sidewalks.Lived in terror and hide under the bed, as his neighbors were broken into and robbed. And most of all, if he didn't have the right to own a gun, and fought back when someone was trying to kill him....Photobucket
