Did you hear what Sarah Palin did in Texas? (We have some big news coming out of Texas!)

We have some big news coming out of Texas! We got word from Tea Party Express endorsed Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz that he just received the powerful endorsement of former Alaskan Governor and U.S. Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin. This is a major boost for the surging conservative from Texas in his quest to champion Tea Party values of fiscal responsibility in the U.S. Senate. Gov. Palins endorsement carries a lot of weight with conservatives and Tea Party groups. It was just this last week that she put her stamp of approval on Tea Party Express endorsed Nebraska U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mpourdock and is, in our opinion, the one that put him over the top in defeating Sen. Dick Lugar.
Governor Sarah Palin wrote: Were proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your (Ted Cruz) campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.
.
Ted Cruz responded "I am humbled and honored to have Governor Palins support as we fight to restore fiscal sanity to the circus that is Washington."
.
.
Governor Palin added in her response: Your conservative principles, passionate defense of our Constitution and our free market system come at a time when these cornerstones of our freedom and prosperity are under attack. Our shared goal isnt just to change the majority in control of the Senate, but to assure principled conservatives like you are there to fight for us.
With Governor Palins support, and the support of tens of thousands of conservatives from all across Texas, we will turn our country around, rein in out-of-control spending and debt in Wa.
.
.
If you haven't heard about Ted Cruz, here is a little about why we have endorsed him and are fighting to send him to Washington:
.
Ted Cruz is a self-professed child of the Reagan revolution. His parents fled Cuba after experiencing an oppressive government and instilled in Ted a profound respect and appreciation for freedom. He understands that it is not our government that makes America run, but our entrepreneurial spirit. He made money as a kid by reciting the Constitution from memory to Rotary Clubs in Texas and giving speeches on free-market economics. . As Solicitor General of Texas from 2003-2008, Cruz authored 80 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued 40 oral arguments, including 9 before the Supreme Court. Named a Republican star rising in Texas and a great Reaganite hope by the National Review, Ted Cruz has led the fight against Obamas offshore drilling moratorium and for private property rights for Americans. His Growth and Jobs Agenda promotes a limited government plan that pledges to repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, kill Cap and Trade, and dramatically simplify the tax code.
Ted Cruz at the Tea Party Express Endorsement Press Conference in Dallas, Texas
We were honored to travel around the great state of Texas with him last month to endorse his campaign and hope that you will be as excited as we are about his candidacy. We just held numerous rallies for Ted Cruz all across Texas this last week to rally support as part of our "Restoring the American Dream" bus tour.
We have a great candidate that we all need to support to send him to Washington!
One of Tea Party Express top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and thanks to patriots like Ted Cruz, we are well on our way to doing just that. But we need your support if we are going to be successful and finish the work we all started in 2010. |

Wish someone could get hold of the TEA PARTY EXPRESS and have them correct the “typos” in this press release:
“It was just this last week that she put her stamp of approval on Tea Party Express endorsed Nebraska U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mpourdock and is, in our opinion, the one that put him over the top in defeating Sen. Dick Lugar.”
It’s Indiana not Nebraska.. and Richard Mourdock not Richard Mpourdock.

“to repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank” That is fine as long as he is for bringing back GlassSteagall. Anyone who thinks we don’t need it is Disillusion with the result of eliminating it staring them right in the face during the last few years. If they are against Glass-Steagall, then they are probably in bed with the BIG bankers just like all the rest. The Result of having it was self evident in the fact that we had a solvent financial system from the time it was put into effect in the 30’s until it was eliminated in the 1990’s.
There is no mention of the guys moral values in this article. Or even the content and position of his court arguments. That would all be very valuable information in determining who this guy is.
Just calling someone a conservative in this day and age means nothing at all.

Well this press release type message is to get the basics out, not to do a several page vett of Cruz.
I'm sure FR people can do some research on your questions (or maybe even you) to get those answers.
This just happened, it's good news!

Ditto on Glass-Steagall; Need It Back Now.
For those without a clue on Glass-Steagall, it was a depression era bill that was repealed by a deregulation bill led by former Republican Senator Phil Gramm. Very big mistake as it allowed bankers to become banksters, literally mafia-like. Its repeal greatly contributed to the derivatives, over-leveraging and carry trade meltdowns which have plunged the USA into a depression or a ‘D-Cycle’.

Until you separate the Investment banks from Retail banks, Even Glass-Steagal isn’t going to make any difference.
The worst problems have come from US bank subsidiaries BASED IN LONDON, outside of the reach of US Law.
