Obama, Bill Clinton said, doesnt know how to be president and is incompetent.
But Hillary resisted the entreaties, according to two of the guests interviewed for the book.
Why risk everything now? a skeptical Hillary told her husband, emphasizing that she wanted to leave a legacy as secretary of state.
Because, Bill replied, his voice rising, the country needs you!
The country needs us! added Bill.
He later even joked about the prospect of having two Clinton presidential libraries about the only time that Hillary cracked a smile.
I want my term [at the State Department] to be an important one, and running away from it now would leave it as a footnote, Hillary argued.
She said she had the option of running again in 2016.
But Bill wouldnt let go.
I know youre young enough! Bill said, his voice booming. Thats not what Im worried about. Im worried that Im not young enough.

Bush, Clinton,Bush,Obama,Clinton.
It reads like the last days of the Roman Republic with the Julii and the Bruti clans battling it out for control.
Go back to lookin’ at that Time Magazine cover and stop being a prissy pants.
OK sorry ....
but good news needs repeating!
Thanks for posting this cc. I missed the first two posts.

But, it sure is a hoot to see the Dems all trying to out-lie each other. Goodness politics is awful - and full of awful people anymore.
“Spoken like a true elitist.”
You forgot to add egotistical, arrogant, egomaniacal, and sociopathic with delusions of grandeur.
“The country needs us.”
What's the saying about an acorn not falling far from the tree?
“Loyalty is a joke, Bill shot back. Loyalty doesnt exist in politics.
Or marriage, Bill?
The first clue was when it said he spoke in a “booming voice”. Bill Clinton has never had such a thing.
