President Obama’s seemingly-sudden decision to endorse same-sex marriage may have been far more orchestrated than previously believed. CNN reported today that President Obama was supposedly planning to announce his support for gay marriage next week on ABC’s The View before comments by Joe Biden caused him to accelerate his timetable.
But there is another theory in the works.
Biden’s comments on Sunday were clearly orchestrated; the notion that they were unplanned neglects the tape of the interview, which shows David Gregory consulting his notes as he asked a completely out-of-the-blue question on same-sex marriage. The very next day, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan endorsed same-sex marriage. The following day, Obama himself did so. That’s not an accident. That’s a roll-out.
So why the timing?
Today is President Obama’s big Hollywood swing.

$40,000 a plate dinner, wow, you can be sure that the Occupy forces will be out there in spades protesting such an extravagant... Oh, who am I fooling? They’ll be on their mobile phones hoping that someone tweets a picture.

I’m re-reading “The Ominous Parallels” by Leonard Peikoff and starting to grieve for my country.
Gaffes aside, nothing in this “administration” happens by accident.
This was very, very carefully planned....and it’s all about $$$$$$$$$$$.

At least the people going to actor Cloony’s house for the Obama fundraiser won’t get lost, there are plenty of AIDS to help the guests!
The whole thing was staged. There was a little story on one of the blogs that the Food Stamp President’s fund raising with the queers was running into trouble. Miraculously a couple of days later Slow Joe gives the lead in for the flip flop. It was planned and totally political.
Yep it’s about money.
Gays could be thrown under the bus later on. Reason being, pres. announces he “personally favors” homosexual marriage. Media and liberals have an “orgasm” over this announcement.
But, there would be lots of heavy lifting in Congress to try to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act. Would Obama devote the time and resources to marriage in Congress that he devoted to Obamacare, for example? It’s likely the status quo on marriage is not going to change, in spite of Obama’s evolution on the issue.
And in the same announcement, Obama said that states should be free to enact same-sex marriage, or words to that effect. Which could mean he sees nothing involving Congress in Washington, or himself pushing legislation on this subject. He may just leave everything at the state level, in which case, nothing more is required of him on this issue.
I know the media is liberal, but I was amazed by how they covered this story. Boy are they ever in the tank for Obama, or what?
He did a $35,000 a plate breakfast in Seattle this morning and a $1,000 a seat fundraiser downtown in the afternoon with the Dave Matthews Band playing to bring in the better financed young yuppies or Xer’s or who ever listens to that band.
David Gregory is a man of utmost journalistic integrity.
Yeah, but the timing of Obama’s announcement got fouled up by internal polling data that showed the impending NC vote. No way could Obama come out for gay marriage on the eve of such a result lest it look like Obama gave it the kiss of death. That’s why Carney and the others had to string it out.
Remember the names and faces of the enemy.
Don’t go to their movie$
Don’t watch their $how$
Don’t buy their DVD$ or CD$
Don’t $upport them in any way
Starve the beast (or at least don’t do anything that can help the beast).
