MANILA (AFP) - China told its citizens Thursday they were not safe in the Philippines and its state media warned of war, as a month-long row over rival claims in the South China Sea threatened to spill out of control.
Chinese travel agencies announced they had suspended tours to the Philippines, under government orders, and the embassy in Manila advised its nationals already in the country to stay indoors ahead of planned protests.

Guess they will be carrying their long range missles with them as they probably wouldn’t make the trip otherwise.
Unfortunately for the Philippines 0bammy is on China’s side.
Guess they wish now that they didn’t kick us out of Subic Bay.
The Filipino military is not even a threat to anyone.
Good thing the Phillipine left got the Americans out of their bases there. Because after all, it’s those imperialistic Americans who are the real bad guys.../s

hahahaha
I am fine with it as long as the chinese only take out the far south west part of the phillipeans....
Then they should leave....
It would solve a lot of the problems the Phillipeans have with the ROPers.
The shoal sits about 230 kilometres (140 miles) from the Philippines' main island of Luzon. The nearest major Chinese landmass is 1,200 kilometres northwest of the shoal, according to Filipino navy maps.
But China claims virtually all of the South China Sea as its territory, even waters close to the coasts of the Philippines and other Asian countries.
Taiwan, Brunei, Vietnam and Malaysia also claim parts of the sea, which is believed to sit atop vast oil and gas resources. The rival claims have for decades made the waters one of Asia's potential military flashpoints.
The Philippines, which admits to having an extremely weak military, has repeatedly said it wants to solve the stand-off over the shoal through diplomatic means.
But it has also said it secured a pledge from the United States, its main military ally, to protect the Philippines from attacks in the South China Sea.
Many of the financial and other ranking institutions in the Philippines are owned or controlled by Chinese. They’ve been in the PI for centuries.
China is seeing if it can push the Philippines around without blow-back. Something like events in the late 1930’s. If they get no push-back, then they will pick a fight with Taiwan next.
With Obama in the White House and the Democraps controlling the Senate that pledge is not worth the breath Obama used to utter the words.

Yes, unfortunately his position may “evolve.” Especially if his daughters are fond of Chinese food.
Holy Bataan!
They’re a little “short” on manpower.
Yuppers. I predicted back when that the PI would live to regret their stupid progressive policies. Still, bet we put mucho deniro and military personnel to defend their ungrateful ass.
The worlds is not stupid. When Obambi did his "apology tour" and bowed to everyone but the Queen of England, did not us political junkies not see this coming? Sheesh, even Bill Clinton understood that right is might, even if his b*tch wife didn't.
As political as our upper brass military is, I would bet a $1000 dollars that the majority have palm to face. They may have political aspirations, but I believe they want USA defense.
Does the Philippines even have an air force?
