Kathy and Luv, my mind is reeling from the news I heard today and this evening. The pronouncement by the Narcissist-in-Chief, and a thread I was pinged to by Waglebee on Tiller the Killer.
If you think that things are that bad in America, you're dead right! I was shopping in Sam's Club last Saturday - in the checkout line I ran into an active duty Special Forces Colonel. We exchanged pleasantries and I opined, without going into a lot of editorial comment, that I didn't envy our troops serving under this particular C-in-C. He nodded his head yes and made another point I had not been aware of.
He informed me that our active duty military presently amounts to less than 1/2% of the population. That percentage has never been so low in our lifetimes. I'm sure this Colonel fears for the survival of our Nation, as I do.
We spoke about the Special Forces - I imparted to him that my Uncle Jack Dowd was a Paratrooper who was involved in Special Forces before it became known as Special Forces - boots on the ground in Nam and Laos in the late 50's. We thanked each other for our respective service and went our ways.
It heartens me to meet men like this - I only hope that we can continue to produce men and women like him now and in the future. Lord knows, we need them dearly!
Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Aloha, Hawaii...((HUGS))...some sun? Any good news?
Rain is threatening again, just not at my house. When I got up this morning there had been enough raindrops to outline the cars in the driveway, but no more.

Good morning, ML...that evil mom does her kid no favors. Life is full of challenges, but the kid only learns to cut and run. I feel sad for the kid. The kid could have learned something from you.
Go forth and have a great Thursday! ((HUGS))
