The man accused of setting up a fake Navy Veterans charity and siphoning away tens of millions of dollars pleaded not guilty in an Ohio courtroom Tuesday, but still has refused to identify himself.
"If he wants to go by the name 'Mr. X,' we'll prosecute him as 'Mr. X,' " said prosecutor Brad L. Tammaro, chief legal counsel for the Ohio Attorney General.
The judge addressed the defendant as Bobby Thompson, an identity that he allegedly stole from a Washington state man. "Thompson" appeared in the courtroom in an orange jump suit, shackles, handcuffs, and a pair of black Crocs. Through his court-appointed lawyer, Mark Stanton, he pleaded not guilty and revealed that he wishes to serve as his own attorney.
He uttered only three words at the very end of his arraignment, when the judge asked him to affirm that he wishes to represent himself. "Yes, your honor," was his quiet reply. < snip >

Thanks to MADD, and other such psycho organizations, the prisons are bulging. It seems like, if they can't put everyone under the Federal Thumb one way, en mass, they are willing to do it one at a time.
MADD is Mothers Against Drunk Driving, now considering that in 2009 drunks killed 10,800+ people; I don't have a problem locking DUI drivers up at all. Want to drink? No problem, get someone else to drive. Pretty simple stuff, really. On your planet, do you really think that you are entitled to get yourself drunk, and endanger everyone else on the road? That we should just make sure we get out of your way? Sorry, champ. It doesn't work that way.
Time was, you had to do a deliberate crime to become a felon. What until some sweet young thing gets an ambitious local DA and lies before a judge about how you hit her. She's got the bruises, and you don't have an alibi.
Wow, and yet, somehow my family, my friends, my co-workers and everyone I know has somehow managed not to get in this set of circumstances. We must really be living right, eh? I mean, what are the odds of us not being in a situation where a bruised and beaten woman calls the cops and falsely accuses us of physically assaulting her?
You have to work hard to get a Felony, and once you earn one, you get the benefit of dealing with it the rest of your life. Most kindergartners can give you some great advice on how to avoid getting a felony. It's quite simple. If your actions sound 'wrong', they probably are.
Hell, I'll bet you think Chicago cops are honest...
Nothing there at all about insulting a woman and being charged with a felony. This just lists resources for victims of Domestic and Sexual Abuse. It just takes a moment. A specific Source please. Where does it indicate that insulting a woman is a Felony?
It's quite a scam, actually. Several private companies offer "Domestic Violence counseling" for a fee, usually $40 or $50, per week, that is court ordered, for 52 weeks. I'm sure it's only coincidence that the owners of these LLCs seem to have some connection with the State government...
The classes tend to be about 30 some, two per night, 5 days a week. That's about $780,000 per annum, for one "counselor" and the more councelors, the income goes up. He showed me the list. There were, if memory serves, about 20 of these outfits in the OKC metro area, alone. That's, I figure, about 60,000 'felons' in the last ten years. none of them spend more than a few days in jail, so they don't show up in prison populations.
That, to me, is a sh!tload of "domestic violence." And knowing about Oklahoma "laws" and "justice" means there is a framing system that would put the Chicago Art Institute to shame. Remember, this is where a state judge was pounding his pud, behind the bench, during hearings, and some lawyer finally got tired of it and reported it. Is Tulsa different? I don't know, but I'm betting not.
I doubt if you are going to find these details on the Net, or in the papers. The Gelding Feminists think that this is only just, The Gays think nothing bad that happens to 'breeders' is bad enough, and the "journalists" are busy condemning the Baptists for every evil ever committed. They have the same opinion of "felons" that you do.
I'm just glad my ex wasn't aware of this...
