Can a judge carry on a trial, if the dependent is uncooperative? If thé défendent refuses to answer questions and find them guilty or innocent, based on the evidence?

If so, put them in a sound-proof box, with the trial playing through speakers and carry on. Let them sit in the box incapable of interrupting the trial.

Whatever happened to a quick contempt of court ruling? If they refuse to participate in their trial, they have waived their right to self-defense.

Our providing a stage for their circus only enhances their influence where we need it the least.

Call me stupid, but it seems to me that if the scum defendants are provided earphone translators, but refuse to use them, they continue to be represented by their lawyers who understand English; thus they are properly represented by a person who understands the charges and the testimonies.

Proceed with the trial, and if necessary take out the trash that is interfering, as they are fully represented by English speaking lawyers. If they decide to quietly stay, or watch proceedings on a remote TV, fine!

I thought a military tribunal was supposed to obviate all this maneuvering to use the court as a propaganda platform and to use the judge as a pinata.

This trial has begun on an ominous note. Already the details of the opening day are horrific. The judge better get in control immediately. The defense attorneys have wasted no time pecking away at his authority.

I hope that, like at the Nuremberg trials, justice gets done in spite of the circus. I especially hope SKM gets a death sentence.

While the thought of him hanging from the gallows or being shot by firing squad has its appeal, somehow our "humane" lethal injection system of execution might be more fitting as death comes at a slower pace. He will have plenty of time to contemplate while he is strapped down and a technician meticulously looks for a good vein, watching as he is hooked up to the IV and seeing his death slowly come sliding down that IV tube. No martyrdom in a fiery blaze or a hail of bullets or even a brave walk to the gallows just a slow wait for a painless inglorious death.
