Veterans for a Strong America is looking for a place to run its hit online video — on television.
The ad praises the quiet heroism of the military personnel who killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011, and portrays President Barack Obama as a glory-hound eager to hog the credit.
With dramatic background images and a banner reading “Heroes don’t seek credit,” the ad shows a catalog of Obama’s statements describing his own responsibility for the mission: “I can report … I directed Leon Panetta … I was briefed … I met repeatedly … At my direction …”
“We’re at a point where we have no choice but to run that ad on TV,” Veterans for a Strong America director Joel Arends told The Daily Caller.

Makes one wonder if Slick Willie didn't know this when he appeared in the original football spiking video that proclaimed Obama a hero.

I believe Obama should present himself with the Silver Star for Valor for this courageous act.
Bronze just isn’t enough, and the CMH is a bit too much, but he certainlt deserves a silver star.
Sometime during this act he may have gotten a paper cut and that should entitle him to a John Kerry type Purple Heart.
It makes me want to puke to see this fake president give a fake salute to a real American Marine or Soldier.

Very surprised and disappointed yesterday to hear Megan Kelly announce that FOX wasn’t going to run the whole ad. If anything qualifies as earned media, this does; and it should have been run in entirety. It certainly won’t be getting anything but a snide mention on the other networks.

John Kerry was “Swift Boated” by veterans when he started abusively pushing his military record. The LMSM tried to turn the vets opposition to Kerry into a swear word that continues even today.
I wounder what they, the LMSM, will label this effort. It sure as heck will NOT be called “truth in advertising”

The precedent has been set. During WWII, then congressman LBJ wangled a commission as an LCDR in the U S Navy and went on an observation mission in a USAAF bomber over New Guinea and came under light enemy fire. He was awarded a Silver Star by one of MacArthur’s staffies for being a spectator and he forever wore the decoration in his lapel.
