Five "self-proclaimed anarchists" have been arrested after a months-long sting operation, charged with plotting to blow up a bridge in the Cleveland area, the FBI announced today.
CBS News senior correspondent John Miller reports the group had been involved in a series of escalating plots that ended with their arrest last night by FBI agents.
The sting operation supplied the anarchists with what they thought were "explosives" and bomb-making materials.
At no time during the case was the public in danger, the FBI said.

shovel ready jobs!
WRIGHT said that they just need to bring down the BrecksvillegNorthfield High Level Bridge - and that as long as stuff "gets f--ked up" he'll be happy with the action. 81 .`On April 20, 2012, the CHS drove WRIGHT and C.S. to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park directly below the High Level Bridge to do surveillance...
Upon arriving at the location, WRIGHT observed that the Brecksville-Northfield High Level Bridge is a two lane bridge and opined that eight blocks of C-4 will take out a good chunk of it or it will at least drop out a whole section of the bridge. The CHS said. they should walk down along the side of the train tracks running tmdemeath the bridge4; however WRIGHT wanted to go in the middle, away from the railroad tracks and people. He also stated that if the bridge loses one of the arches the whole thing will probably come down...
Finally, the group discussed what would happen if they were caught. Baxter thought that they will all go to Guantanamo Bay if they get caught, they will not go to a normal prison. To prevent capture, he suggested getting tacks that they could throw out of the back of the car if they get caught in a chase.
1/2 mile from my house. My back yard is contiguous to the national park. This bridge spans the valley above same national park.
LOL.
Too many cartoons
I think the tally is now 2 according to their facebook pages. I believe at least 1 was arrested with occupy cleveland. Are all of them from Ohio? I know at least 1 is a lakewood resident but I haven’t heard about the others. This is scary stuff. Why would they target that bridge? It really makes little sense. There are so many ways to get around that bridge that it would just cause inconvenience at best. Do you think they wanted to target a wealthy/middle class neighborhood just to prove a point?
I drive this bridge every day.
I saw their pictures...Obama voters, every one of them.
I know, I have kids too and we are constantly driving back and forth over it. You won’t find this surprising but I just found a link to the occupy Cleveland Organizer which just so happens to be one “Brandon Baxter” who also tried to blow up the bridge. Take a look:

LOL, OWS maggots all the way.
Another possibility is that all our communications are completely compromised by the feds, and most organizations infiltrated with agents, and all our credit card purchases monitored so that as soon as someone communicates a dangerous idea, they become watched more closely to see if they might be dangerous to the regime or to Official Reality.
In that case, you’d never get to the point where you had a cache of 1200 pounds of fertilizer and three people to help mix the stuff. Actual attempts would be extremely rare, but sting-type busts common.
These guys were flagged as odd and had an informant attached to them. When they “carefully” downloaded the Anarchist Cookbook, one of the guys said, hey, maybe we can just BUY the stuff rather than make it...and at that point the agent said, why, I know some guys!
-—Wright also allegedly complained to the FBI source that “there were not enough anarchists in Cleveland to do what he wanted to do.”——
If only the anarchists were better organized. (/ rimshot)
Sounds like a bunch of basement-dwelling internet anarchists.

Make sure they’re ACME tacks!
Sorry. You are not entitled to your own set of facts. If you wish to illustrate how over-bearing our government is, you need to find another argument.
lol I find your lack of humor to be disturbing.
Yes, that seems ridiculous, which is why I wrote it. I think it underlines my previous thought that it’s sort of odd that all we see is successful sting operations (with the exception of WTC 93, possibly).
In Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, Iraq we saw evidence of bombmaking, we saw stages of execution, we find planted devices that are defused, and some devices explode. We find caches of explosive precursors and bomb factories.
Why do we only see sting operations here?
I admit I do exclude the 1500 or so pipe bombs and similar small devices.
For real terror bombers we have Stirling Hall 1970, OKC, WTC, Olympic Park, the failed attempt at some MLK parade, any others? It seems to me that, for the last several years, we have only seen stings, and many of those have been mere conspiracy stings, with a few where the government provides fake explosives.
The joking was that the FedGov has us so under surveillance we can’t get away with anything, that post was meant to be absurd.
What do I have wrong, in your opinion, 1rudeboy?
