JACKSONVILLE, N.C. Two Camp Lejeune Marines returned home early Sunday morning to find two men in their house. The intruders didn't make it out of the house alive.
33-year-old, Maurice Skinner and 33-year-old, Diego Everette were identified by police as the men killed in the burglary attempt. Both men are from Jacksonville.
Skinner and Everette were pronounced dead at the scene, but according to Jacksonville Police Chief, Mike Yaniero it is unlikely that anyone will be charged in the shooting.
"The investigation is ongoing, however at this time there is no evidence to suggest that criminal charges be filed."
Chief Yaniero says the department will increase their patrols in the neighborhood.
"We'll be in the neighborhood. We try to stay in those neighborhoods but we will be especially vigilant in that particular neighborhood in the next couple weeks."
Marine Corps officials have not released the names of the Marines who shot the intruders.
JACKSONVILLE, N.C. Authorities continue to investigate a Sunday morning shooting during a burglary that left two intruders dead.

Generally speaking, it's not wise to f**k with ANY Marine.
Dag—they could be Øbama’s sons.
If you f**k with the bull, you get the horn!
When I read the title, I thought “I love stories with happy endings”.
What good is it going to do to increase police presence in the area now.
The Marines have landed. Its safer there now.
You local yokels can just GTFO.
Go grab a donut of something.
I’m guessing if berry had a son, they would look like this?
Otherwise, the Marines would have had to kill them with their bare hands and that would've been much more painful.
It’s still good news.
A dog just spoke to me in Dog-ese, and wants to know if we can replace the police with Marines.
I tried to tell him no, but he growled and told me to ask anyway.
;^)
>>Will check back to see if I should be contrite.<<
Nah, you’re good.
Obama, “If I had twin sons they’d look like.....”
DITTO that!!!!!
A most excellent follow-up! :)
I'll bet the thugs didn't know how to take the safety off the shotgun.
And this is how decent societies are created, one less bad guy at a time.
He fired several times, but thankfully he didn’t pump the shotgun or this would be a totally different story. Many more details are here:

At the beginning when this first happened, their friends and family members tried to play the race card, but since this last article came out, they are no where to be found.
“...we will be especially vigilant in that particular neighborhood in the next couple weeks.”
Sounds to me they could probably not worry about that neighborhood for awhile.
And this is how decent societies are created restored, one less bad guy/leech at a time.
Another incremental cleansing of the gene pool.
