Voting for Romney (D-Mass.): The Worst Mistake a Conservative Could Make

Why am I so passionate today? Well, most readers who visit here know the country is in deep doo-doo. Im here to tell you that voting for Mitt Romney (D-Mass.) will not change that fact and may make things worse. I will explain two things. First, Romney (D-Mass.) is the presumptive Republican nominee precisely because he will do nothing to improve our countrys fortunes. He is the chosen one because he will maintain the status quo. That is what the GOP machine has chosen him to do.
Second, you cannot take over the Republican machine and turn it into something in decent. I have made that statement before, but Im going to describe the machine in greater detail. Keep in mind that this is information I have obtained from current and former GOP insiders. Everyone on the inside agrees that the Party has been constructed so it cannot be taken over. They have also constructed a political system so the political duopoly is very, very difficult to challenge. (Republican insiders HATE political freedom, like so many other freedoms.) Whether thats a good thing or bad thing is a matter of judgment. For conservatives and libertarians its bad. For establishmentarians its wonderful.
Finally I will explain why voting for Romney (D-Mass.) is the worst thing you can do, regardless of whether youre a principals voter or a strategic voter.
If you are not one hundred percent convinced that I am correct in those statements, you absolutely must read the rest of this piece and tell me where Im wrong. I know Im correct, and I can assure you that if you vote for Romney (D-Mass.) it will be the greatest political regret of your life.

ROFL!!
And you are full of more sh*t than a Christmas goose. Many of us aren`t going to vote for your LIBERAL candidate Romney. Get over it. If somehow you`re gleaning “liberal” from my 21,000+ posts here on FR, you are truly pathetic in your lack of ability to process information.

A conservative Congress and Senate would keep Romney in check, but..
I can't see the Senate cooperating at all with any conservative in Congress
and It's my understanding that the Senate (R) is already RINO behind the curtain.

Last time I checked, Romney qualified as Anyone But Obama!
Hillary Clinton qualifies as "Anyone But Obama". Would you vote for her if she ran on the Republican ticket? No difference between her and Romney except that she is less inept and Romney has better hair. But as for political positions, point for point, they are nearly a match. It takes more than a capital "R" behind someone's name to make them a conservative and worthy of a conservative's vote. Voting straight ticket when the candidate is a stealth democrat is just plain unwise.

Not voting straight Republican ticket when it will give control of the presidency to someone who has ALREADY DEMONSTRATED IN THAT POSITION HIS UTTER CONTEMPT FOR THE UNITED STATES is more than "plain unwise;" it is criminally insane.

If Romney does indeed become the Republican nominee, lots of Freepers like yourself will join the Liberals in defeating him in November.
If Romney does indeed become the Republican nominee, lots of Freepers like myself will likely join the Constitution Party (unless there is a similar and better known party that represents us on the ballot I am currently unaware of) and do our best to defeat both the liberals, Obama and Romney, in November. That's pretty much how the Republican Party replaced the Whigs Party in the 1850's. And heartfelt conservative people such as yourself are welcome to join us at any time. You will feel right at home with a party that actually represents your values, and it will be such a relief not having to constantly battle your own team for them to "do the right thing". But lets wait to see if the Republicans follow through and spit on conservatism first.

We’re Conservatives first and foremost, NOT Republicans.
Party loyalty can get stuffed considering what the Ruling Class leadership of the GOP has done to Conservatives. They made a pact with Obama and the Marxists, acted on it and went to war on Conservatives.
You’re insane to assume principled thinkers will support Obama’s chosen opponent to lose to him in November.

The only thing "criminal" is having a stealth democrat running as a republican giving the establishment a win-win scenario against us as they chuckle at the multitude of educated conservatives incapable of seeing the bigger picture.

You choose to post a reply to a post I made to Colofornian and you think that makes you appear 'objective'? You don't have the creds of Colofornian so I'm going to now ignore the 'lecture' you sought to spittle regarding my vote and idolatry and the whole biblical wrath game you're dancing with. You smell like a stealthy but persistent obamanoid.

You and those like-minded will be throwing all the good Conservatives in the House & Senate under the bus.
Conservative T.E.A. Parties helped elect a lot of new Conservatives to the House & Senate and this year there is a good chance to take the Senate.
But screw them, the hell with them. ...you would prefer they work with Barack Obamah who would veto everything they send him.
Yeah, that's great plan.
Pls tell me you're not a Paulbot.
Believe me, I feel your pain, but your way does nothing to help those fighting the good fight in the House & Senate.
You have to admit that a lot of good could be done with a Republican House & Senate working with a Republican President.

You are voting for a liberal ... and we're the ones throwing good Conservatives under the bus? Bizarro World.
You have to admit that a lot of good could be done with a Republican House & Senate working with a Republican President.
A lot of good could be done with a Conservative congress working against Obama. A lot of bad could be done with a RINO congress working with Romney. A rebirth of our Founders' vision could be done with a Conservative congress working with a Conservative President. That's where I'm aiming.
Pls tell me you're not a Paulbot.
No. I'm not a Ron Paul guy. I started this race willing to support Bachmann, Cain, and Santorum. I'd have supported Perry if he had lived up to the hype. With a brilliant VP pick, I'd support Gingrich. That's pretty flexible, and as flexible as I can get. I will not pull the lever for a candidate that is better suited with a "D" behind name. I'd consider voting libertarian only as a protest vote to make establishment heads spin. It appears the GOP is poised to kick conservatives to the curb, so I'm shopping for a new party. So far the Constitution Party looks like a good home.
Believe me, I feel your pain, but your way does nothing to help those fighting the good fight in the House & Senate.
I know you do. And I know you think you are doing the right thing and that I am in the wrong. Your heart is in the right place so I am not offended. But I've watched far too many election cycles proceed with a vote for the lesser of two evils only to see the next administration slide that much further into the abyss. That mentality is what has brought us here today. Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly expecting different results. I've experienced enough to recognize the pattern. I'm smart enough not to expect different results. I'm working toward a course correction. And ... just as our Founders did ... I understand it will be a terrifying and difficult undertaking. But onward we go.
Conservative T.E.A. Parties helped elect a lot of new Conservatives to the House & Senate and this year there is a good chance to take the Senate.
Conservative TEA party groups shouted at the White House "Can you hear us now"? Clearly the GOP(e) did not. I'll continue lending my voice and talents to the TEA party. I will support the TEA party candidates. Clearly this does not include Romney. I will not provide the RINO's a weapon (party loyalty) to use against the TEA party candidates in Congress.

So how is it that little barry bastard commie is not a weapon against the TEA party candidates in Congress? And with the media squarely and irrevocably sold out as the propaganda vehicle for the little barry bastard commie, how do you suceed by returning the bastard to the White House, Ereic Holder to the JUST US department, and perhaps four SCOTUS judges to the bench? FRiend, get real.

Let's move on. I hear you and feel your passion.
...and actually agree with most of your points.
Would a Conservative VP pick sway you?
Mutt & the RNC know they do not have the support of the Republican Party's Conservative base.
It will be interesting who they decide on should Romney become the nominee.
I'll be voting for Newt in the May 29 Primary here for what that's worth.
Come Nov, I'll be working for the defeat of Barack Hussein Obama II.
To: knarf; MHGinTN; All
RINO or no ... will you vote ... and whether you do or don't ... what will you do if Romney beats ozero?Voting 3rd party - Former Republican VA rep Virgil Goode (Constitution Party, 3rd largest party)
Btw, the 3rd party doesn't do any worse than the 2nd party...so if Romney loses, you'll have wasted your vote.
What will I do if Romney wins?
Pray for the pre-born at risk under a Romney-run healthcare and a bully pulpit that encourages parents to give their offspring to "research."
Pray for a nation at risk with our most gullible, lack-of-discernment POTUS that we've EVER had. [If he believes he was spirit-born on another planet/star...that kind of sums up what I mean]
Pray for the taxpayers at risk as Romney has run roughshod over them, track record-wise.
Pray for the spiritually vulnerable at risk. (For example, see my tagline)
Pray to keep the Mormon "prophet" from making Romney his personal political puppet.
Pray for a new president who isn't a Dem; because I think once we have so many Christians communicating to God that it's "OK" to elevate idolatry (Romney and other temple Mormons believe they are "gods in embryo" on their way to full-grown godhood as rival, competing gods of THE God), then this nation -- having placed its first counterfeit god into the White House...
...beyond all the other reasons God already has for judging it -- becomes even more ripe for God's temporal judgment...
...it wouldn't surprise me for God to remove any hedge of protection from terrorists & other countries' hostilities + bringing increased economic judgment.
IOW, if God's wrath is poured out on this country...I won't simply point to the "pagans" as magnets for divine lightning...the world will always be the world. But when God's people (Christians) act like the world, I would think that would get God's special attention, as the Old Testament shows again & again.

I never made the claim to be objective. I'm not a journalist who has to lie in order to cover a liberal-Left bias.

That would make your olfactory senses as dull as your judgment and biblical acumen, not to mention your sense of discernment is more than off the wall wrong.

So how is it that little barry bastard commie is not a weapon against the TEA party candidates in Congress?
He is an opponent on the field in front of our friends in Congress. He is a known combatant with his own arsenal. "Party Loyalty", however, is not one of his weapons. I doubt he'll convince our TEA party friends to rubber stamp his liberal agenda for sake of party unity as Romney could.
how do you suceed by returning the bastard to the White House, Ereic Holder to the JUST US department, and perhaps four SCOTUS judges to the bench?
The opportunity for success was chisel'd away as Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, and now Gingrich were driven out of the race. Even should a liberal with an "R" behind his name defeat a liberal with a "D" behind his name (unlikely), I still don't call it "success".
And when the liberal with an "R" behind his name makes Supreme Court appointees in the same vein as he's made judicial appointments in his home state (75% liberal) it is even further from success as it is done under the "republican" banner. You fear Obama's appointments? Have a look at Romney's. There is no difference and that's the reality of it.
