A Navy veteran and active-duty Marine may be the first gay couple ever to have gotten publicly engaged on a military installation. It happened this week when Cory Huston proposed to Avarice Guerrero at Camp Pendleton in San Diego County.

I don't believe that is possible anymore. An individual can repent and change course at any time, but a declining nation carries with it a momentum and inertia that is unstoppable. My opinion is that the first toe started over the cliff just about 1960.

I wonder about those supporting Romney as well. He was all for gays in the military before Obama did anything. In fact, Romney’s the one responsible for gays being able to marry in this country. Yet, those demanding people vote for him have no problem with that fact because he’s the only one who is not Obama.

Coincidentally , before even reading this thread , I was just thinking the same thing . Pre-Johnson 1960-63 . No turning back . And all those on radio , tv and elsewhere that say we can are just blowing hot air to make a buck .
