CBS WNEW ^ | 25 April 2012 | Editors

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Transportation Security Administration is once again the subject of national scrutiny, this time after aggressively screening a 7-year-old female passenger with cerebral palsy which caused her family to miss their flight....“They make our lives completely difficult,” her father, Dr. Joshua Frank, a Long Island pediatrician, told The Daily. “She’s not a threat to national security.”

Frank taped the encounter, which ended when a supervisor inspected her crutches and let them pass. But agents followed up and insisted upon doing a full inspection of Dina.

Ultimately, the family missed their flight.

Mother Of Child With Cerebral Palsy Says TSA Treated Daughter "Like Osama Bin Laden"

...But after the family had spent an hour at the gate waiting for their flight, the TSA screeners returned and said Dina had to be screened again. “So then I got aggravated,” Dr. Frank tells The Daily. He put Dina in a wheelchair and raced her back to the gate, but by the time she passed through security a second time, they'd missed their flight.

The apologists are making me ill. The radiation-cancer machines aren’t allowed in Europe, and who knew that we would fall this far, to have every person treated like a criminal?

I lost relatives in Siberia, and have friends (in their mid 40s to 50s) who grew up behind the Iron Curtain, and lost EVERYONE in their family. These were highly educated and intelligent people, banished for playing the wrong song or not bowing to the right authority.

It’s coming here faster and faster, and all this garbage about a terrorist under every bed so take off your shoes, belts, and jewelry, are only preparing the dumb Americans for the “Siberian”-bound cattle cars.

Who knew this decade would be so good for the perverts, molesters, power hungry, passive-aggressive, and losers who couldn’t even get a job at the Post Office?

The family had a financial agreement with the airline, they purchased services from the airline at an agreed price.

Yup, and the Airlines inform every passenger (it's on the online reservation form, as well as spoken during the purchase transaction should you purchase from an airline representative to "arrive at least 1 hour prior to departure". It's not a big secret, it's pretty much common knowledge.

While your arguement with regard to the 10th ammendment seems valid - the Surpeme Court would disagree with you, as well as Congress. This would fall into Article 1, Section 8 of our Constitution which gives the Federal Goverment the following powers:

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
and so on, and so forth.

Thus, they are granted this ability. Pretty much every nation on the planet has security at the airport. Thus far, TSA has caught a few idiots who decided to bring back some C-4 from Afghanistan to show off to Ma and Pa, idiots who 'forgot' they had packed their loaded pistols, tons of pocketknives (I lost a few that way - and some were pretty darn nice too), as well as various insundries like endangered animals, drugs, large sums of money and chemical agents.

And that’s the way I feel going through security.

Israel cannot afford to engage in profiling any more than we can; they don’t have any political wiggle room on the subject, whereas we don’t have constitutional wiggle room.

I’d call that a wash as far as “profiling” goes.

What Israel is doing that we aren’t is treating everyone equally until they have probable cause to single someone out. This is no different than your local state trooper out on the highway watching all of the cars on the road; surveying every vehicle equally, until there emerges a definitive reason to single out a specific vehicle for elevated scrutiny.

The TSA hasn’t got the brains to operate that way. They single people out randomly, whether there is any probable cause or not, and THAT is where our system is broken, and where our politicians — at least up to this point — don’t have the balls to fix it.

Actually, I’m rather surprised that there has not yet been a class action suit lodged on behalf of travelers singled out for pat-downs. That action treats them unequally, and should have been challenged STRONGLY on the basis that they are being made subject to a criminal investigation without probable cause; it’s no matter that every traveler may have an equal chance of getting the pat down, the practical reality is that you are treating some people different than others WITHOUT PROBABLE CAUSE; there is NO LEGAL JUSTIFICATION for subjecting them to elevated scrutiny, but the TSA is doing it anyway, in CLEAR VIOLATION of long-standing law enforcement practices designed to protect Americans’ civil rights.

If true, I'd want the TSA Officer's job.

Because if this is true - and she was a 'mule' bringing weapons through security, she had ample time to distribute those weapons to any accomplice - thus voilating the entire security of the entire terminal, all gates and all terminals connected to that terminal.

Once you pass Security - you are presumed SAFE. This is an Epic Fail - they should have grounded the entire airport, and re-screened everyone. That's what they are hired to do, and if they botched this child, and she was perceived as a "Threat" - then the airport would need be re-screened.

Israel also deals with about as many passengers a year as a mid-sized regional airport--about 11 million (Sacramento alone does 10 million). We do that number in the US every five days. Scaling up the Israeli model would be a huge undertaking, requiring, by one blog's calculations, half a million more TSA employees.

The commerce clause in Article 1 Section 8 does empower congress to keep the commerce trade among the states regular. Politicians and the carefully selected judges will find a way to try to fit all expansion of power into this "commerce clause", and it is in no way what the founding fathers meant.

Having the national government set up shop on private property and get between me and a private company the what the TSA does is in no way defined by: To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

I am not against security check points in airports, or arriving an hour early. I am against the national government performing this task. It should be done by the airline, the airport, or the state. The national government has once again overstepped their constitutional authority.

PS: Can you name me ONE (just ONE) terrorist threat or act they have uncovered/prevented?

Okay here are my thoughts on this after many years. By using a little logic and the brain God gave me I finally see this mess in a different way than I used to.

The media and government have hyped the sheeple into a frenzy. The public are afraid of terror. They're terrorized by terror. It is part of the whole new 'scared American' culture - scared of everything. Home of the brave - not anymore.

So here's the truth - here are the odds we live with (pulled from various sources):

ODDS (Lifetime)

Getting divorced: 1 in 3

Dying from heart disease: 1 in 3

An American woman developing
cancer: 1 in 3

Getting arthritis: 1 in 7

Victim of a serious crime: 1 in 20

Getting colon cancer: 1 in 20

Writing a New York Times best seller: 1 in 220

Dying from falling down: 1 in 246

Injury from using a chain saw: 1 in 4,464

Dying on a bicycle: 1 in 4,472

Injured by a toilet this year: 1 in 10,000

Winning an Academy Award: 1 in 11,500

Being murdered: 1 in 18,000

Dying in a car accident: 1 in 18,585

Being wrongly declared dead by a
Social Security data entry mistake: 1 in 23,483

Non-felon being murdered with a gun: 1 in 500,000

Being in a plane crash: 1 in 500,000

Dying from being bitten by a dog: 1 in 700,000

Death by lightning strike: 1 in 2.5 million

Dying from food poisoning: 1 in 3 million

Getting AIDS from heterosexual sex
without using a condom: 1 in 5 million

Being elected President: 1 in 10 million

Dying in a terrorist attack: 1 in 30 MILLION

When you look at the odds you can CLEARLY see that this is just a way for the power mad control freaks in government get rid of individual liberty, to destroy the constitution and this country, and to grope grandmas, war vets and children - plain and simple. Just look at the numbers.

And please, please - wake up!! Being an enabler of the destruction of America and her constitution is not a great legacy.

Make the founders proud and just please, wake up.

Here’s a shocker. The humanists are inhumane. Who would have ever guessed this??? Now we know why Christians of the “inflexible” variety, are their number one enemy.

They are willing to wear the chains of bondage for a little the appearance of security.

The TSA isn't securing anyone. The only people they fool is the public. It certainly isn't fooling Al-Qa'ida.....it seems most terror attempts these days are thwarted by security concious passengers.......then Janet Nagatalino gets her ugly fat face on television to say "the system worked."
