...boy recovers completely
Although a team of four physicians insisted that his son was brain-dead following the wreck, Thorpes father enlisted the help of a general practitioner and a neurologist, who demonstrated that his son still had brain wave activity. The doctors agreed to bring him out of the coma, and five weeks later Thorpe left the hospital, having almost completely recovered.

When will these people learn to choose LIFE over the culture of death?

The doctors should be charged with attempted murder. . . .

In 2008, a 45-year-old Frenchman revived on the operating table as doctors prepared to harvest his organs for donation, following cardiac arrest.

I heard someone on Catholic Answers (Jimmy Akin ?) say that “brain death” was invented to permit organ “harvesting.”
It gave me pause, considering that the AMA redefined conception from fertilization to implantation, so that the pill could be classified as a contraceptive.

I will not sign up to be an organ "donor".
I will not accept "donated" organs.
When God is done with me, here, He'll let me know. And I'm OK with that.

What if He wants you to have an organ donated from someone?

When they are the one who is facing death. Then will life have meaning to them.

I am presently listed on my DL as an organ donor, but I have come around to precisely your way of thinking, and will change that when it is renewed.

This is the exact reason that I do not have organ donor on my DL. My wife will make that decision if the situation arrises, not doctors.
To: ArrogantBustard
You are right! I will not sign the organ-donor thing, either. It is ghoulish and there are abuses. I bet the hospitals get money for organs, too.

Learned a long time ago....most doctors have either major or minor god complex...
If you gut tells you he is wrong get a second opinion...
Years ago I got very sick from an intestinal "bug" for two weeks I got to the point I was literally crawling to the bathroom every 10 minutes I was so weak...
After multiple tests and nothing showed up as the cause...doctor admitted he didn't know what was wrong with me...but was glad I got better...LOL

This selfish greedy man has deprived that team of doctors a major amount of income by wanting to keep his son. They should sue him and his helpers for loss of income and emotional distress.s/

Use up your organs so that they will be useless to harvest like I have......
Heart..Unstable angina
Lungs...COPD
Gastrointestinal tract....IBS
Skin....pustular psoriasis...
Brain...damn near useless...
Working on the liver with bourbon......
Hurry up and get old, they don't like old peoples organs...

As time goes on and mans knowledge increases, is the oldest or original definition of some things, always the best or most correct? Do you refer to definitions that encompass such obsolete words like "marriage" or "murder?"

After years of indicating “organ donor” on my driver’s license, I had that removed at my most recent renewal in 2010. Don’t trust the new climate created by medical ‘ethicists’ and government bureaucrats.
