Texas Gov. Rick Perry originally endorsed Newt Gingrich as the top candidate after dropping out of the Republican presidential race.
But with Gingrich set to quit the campaign trail, Perry on Wednesday evening gave his support to the probable nominee, Mitt Romney.
"Mitt Romney has earned the Republican presidential nomination through hard work, a strong organization, and [a] disciplined message of restoring America after nearly four years of failed job-killing policies from President [Barack] Obama and his administration," Perry said in a statement provided to FOX News Channel.
"So today I join the many conservative Republicans across the nation in endorsing Mitt Romney for president and pledge to him, my constituents and the Republican Party that I will continue to work hard to help defeat President Obama.

Oops.. I meant that they said they were #5... I guess the 6pm part threw me off ;)
I started ignoring said poster when he/she showed their true self/maturity (or lack there of) with all of the hypocrisy and insults coming from said person, back several months ago...
The base fought hard but we didn’t overcome the organization of the elite GOP. Now is not the time to carp about those who ran against Romney (we should thank them). They, with all their warts tried, getting kicked in the face for their efforts.
We must continue to push for conservatives on the local, state and national ticket. Put our efforts to good use. Let the GOP know the “tea party” base is pissed, out here and well aware of how this went down.
The GOP-e will know I’ve put them in a permanent “dunce corner” and will not donate to them as an organization but rather I will support people I choose to help.
Bravo! Well said!
Thank you.
“I wonder what the response here will be when Newt endoses Romney.”
You know it won’t be self-reflection and reassessment of one’s view of reality. That’s too hard. Better to just call him names and accuse him of venality.

Hey Jim... are we supporting obama by not voting for a white version of him?

Thank you.
Glenn Beck just had a special with a bunch of experts including Alan West and David Horowitz stating that the Muslim Brotherhood is in the administration.
For heaven’s sake, we NEED to this guy outta there.
Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.
We are not dependent on this failed and treasonous government to protect us. I will not vote for romney... I will vote for every Conservative down ballot... the gop/e has LOST me... I didn't leave the republican party... they left me and no threat from some rag headed, goat humper changes the fact that to vote for romney will just keep the wrong people in power and nothing in the gop will ever change. To win a war... one must fight in a war... and I am fighting. I no longer believe in or trust that anyone in this government will do anything to help this once great Republic. The LORD can help us. I bend on knee and pray for our salvation many times in a day. You put your faith in the gop and romney... I will put my faith in GOD, myself and my friends and I will NEVER vote for romney.

Perry never got around to Newt. So many Texan backs, so many knives...
Yes...and no. I have no clue who will and who won't.
As usual, thanks to the RNC, TX primary vote comes after the candidate has been chosen. That is getting old!
Take it easy Hoss, I’m on board for ABO. Just expressing my dismay over the support and “selectiion” of the nominee before my state has its primary.
Didn’t read the link, did ya.

Curious why you blame the RNC? The primary was scheduled earlier but delayed by challenges to the redistricting process which delayed the primary.
