Virgil Goode giving his acceptance speech now at the convention. Thanking the other candidates for all their hard work running in this race and those in our national party that have worked hard over the years for our party.
There’s a name I remember! Former Democrat turned reliable, authentic conservative Republican.
Glad he is stepping up to the plate. Conservatives should throw Romney under the bus (as he has to us). Since 60% of the party voted against Mitt, Mitt is the candidate who can be the spoiler here! I wasn’t even aware he had retired from Congress.
I do know that there are some other good CP candidates running, but here’s a guy who has a good shot at getting the nomination because of his name recognition and record
I’ll vote for him if he’s on my ballot.
I’ll have to look into Goode; if Romney is the nominee, Goode will probably be the guy I vote for.
Is it true he is trying to persuade former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty to form a Goode & Pawlenty ticket?

Obama will be very greatful.
If Mitt actually has a shot at winning New York ... well, then it's probably a 47-state sweep, so he still won't need my vote.
In 2004 and ‘08, I voted for the Constitution Party presidential nominees. I thought that Bush and McCain were too liberal, and I knew that the Democrats would easily win my state, Illinois. I haven’t decided whom I’ll support, this fall, but I think that IL will be a swing state.
Well done, Virgil!
You`ll get my vote in November!!
I might have found someone I can vote for. I just told my husband Goode is running, and he’s enthusiastic, too.
My sister-in-law knows Virgil. He’s really a good man.

Well played, sir.
Well, if Romney is the GOP candidate, at least there will be a conservative choice in November.
Damn straight!
Interestingly, I`ve been asking that same question of the Republican Party as it pulls Mitt Romney across the primary finish line, arranging a sacrificial lamb for Obama to slaughter. Somehow, they`re of the mindset that the guy who couldn`t beat the guy who lost by a landslide to 0bama is the "right choice" because he`s viewed as "the most electable."
So, c`mon pubbies... seriously???
Yeah, he was a very rare Conservative Democrat who got run out of the party because he voted to impeach Clinton. He’s an excellent choice and I will be voting for him in November!
I will not be coerced into voting for the used car salesman in November. If Mr. Wlide is the real deal, he has my vote.
