In a move that serves as a significant blow to "ex-gay" programs and anti-gay organizations, Dr. Robert Spitzer repudiated his much-criticized 2001 study that claimed some "highly motivated" homosexuals could go from gay to straight. His retraction occurred in an American Prospect magazine article that hit newsstands today. Spitzer's rejection of his own research, which was originally published in the prestigious Archives of Sexual Behavior, is a devastating blow to "ex-gay" organizations because it decisively eliminates their most potent claim that homosexuality can be reversed through therapy and prayer.
Exactly. And some alcoholics struggle their whole life or are tempted to fall off the wagon, others lose the desire to ever touch alcohol. So with homosexuals who want to change; for some they are still tempted, others are not.

The argument works for polygamists, male and female, who can claim that it is their nature to want multiple partners. The same goes for pedophiles, many of whom have homosexual tendencies.

As an aside to this, my sister in law was a militant, propaganda spewing, butch haired, man-clothes wearing lesbian. She spent years bleating out the BS and EVERY conversation she got involved in was quickly turned to ‘gay’ issues.
All gay, all the time.
Except when her (and I kid you not) biracial, religious ‘minority’ girlfriend decided that she was actually straight.
Amazingly the ‘impossible’ happened. Suddenly my hardcore ‘born that way (except for all her boyfriends in high school) sister in law suddenly decided she was straight too and went right back to dudes just like nothing ever happened.
I rarely bring her up in these types of conversations solely because I am frankly embarrassed to associate myself with her. But it just proves a couple points. First, that most of the ‘gays’ in the world today are so due to the ‘all my friends are gay so I am too’ factor and second, the world is filled with people just like her. Third, it shows the peer pressure of the gay lobby is only partly effective in keeping people on the gay plantation once they ‘decide’ (key phrase) to do something else ‘trendy’.
Side note...
Any college girl since the 60s is familiar with the term “LUG” Also known as “Lesbian until graduation”. Isn’t it AMAZING that this well known phenomenon that just happens to fly in the face of leftist propaganda is never brought up by the left.

The existence very term is proof positive that homosexuality is a choice. If it were not, then the thousands of young women who ‘chose heterosexuality after getting a diploma must be figments of the country’s collective imagination.

Sounds very similar to the American Psychological Association’s (at least I think it was that body) decision to remove homosexuality from its list of disorders. No new studies or evidence to contradict anything that had been learned. Basically it was a show of hands (by mailed postcard) whether or not to do it, and of the substantial minority who bothered to respond, the majority of those voted to drop it from the list.

There is no and never has been an objective scientific test to identify a heterosexual that suffers from the homosexual disorder. It is an abnormal self destructive behavioral mental disorder that can only be objectively identified when the person chooses to engage in homosexual activity. The subjectively declared (orientation) mental disorder is cited as the reason why these depraved souls engage in the self destructive behavior. Some claim they have no choice but to do [it].
The psychologists deciding to call the behavior normal was simply putting lipstick on a pig.
REGARDLESS how hard the homosexualists attempt to dress up the pig, the pig always OINKS -one can not fool mother nature.

The first thing you must do is become convinced of the truth of the the fact that God's will truly is best for you and everyone that you may influence, and also that He is LORD, and you must therefore make a commitment to follow Him. Then you master the ability to run your life according to the will of God and not the dictates of your body, soul, or the voices of others. You must begin to live your life by what you know is right, by using the volition of your will power, which God strengthens the more you give it over to Him. It is through purposefully, with all of your strength, mind and heart, willing yourself to choose to do what is right, and allowing the Holy Spirit to live through you, that you will live your life free from the power of sin. You will either be led by your flesh, following it's life draining and destructive demands, or you will learn to be led by The Spirit, to the glory of God unto life. So you see it doesn't matter what your flesh wants or thinks, because it is DEAD with Christ. Since it is dead, and you are alive, you must stop foolishly listening to it and being it's slave, but rather live, by the power of The Holy Spirit, for The LORD Jesus Christ, who loves you and gave Himself for you.
Our culture has brainwashed us into believing that we are slaves to our bodies and our desires. We are not slaves to our fleshly desires, but we are to be slaves to Christ. When we trust The LORD and use our will power, which He has given us, to do His good will, The Holy Spirit will be there to give us the strength and ability to carry out the will of God. We have to stop believing in ourselves and who we think that we are, good or bad, as the guiding force of our lives. We must start believing in God, doing His will, and letting His Spirit live through us to accomplish His will. Then we will find out that it doesn't matter what our sins and evil leaning may have been, because they are dead and we live unto God.
