This lousy president just spoke of moving to allow the Keystone project a couple of days ago - which we all know was an outright lie - as he will prove once again.

Ideally, from Osama Obama’s standpoint, would be to let the project move forward slowly bfore the election, then put the kibosh on it when/if he is re-elected.

To submit this so soon one has to assume this was a contingency that TCPL had previously prepared.

If Obama rejected the last proposal because he needed more time to study it even after three years of study, he can't then accept the new route in a few months before the election without studying the impact of the new route.

I think that TransCanada knows that Obama is between the horns of a dilemma, and they are throwing it at him.

If Obama rejects it again, it will become a huge campaign issue against him when he wants to be talking about other things.

If he accepts it outright, it will be a flip-flop of the highest order because he isn't leaving time to study it like he demanded before.

I love it.

The Crude Oil Market DEMANDS a specific amount of feeder stock (=crude oil), and the owners SUPPLY the feeder stock.

The “Invisible Hand” of the Market thus does a near perfect job of equalizing SUPPLY and DEMAND, because the intersection of SUPPLY and DEMAND is called PRICE.

The Market PRICE is what politicians will never understand. They only understand the ANTI-Price, which is TAXES, REGULATIONS, and POLICY.

BTW, haven’t these points been proven enough? After 80 years of failure to become profitable, the Federal Government has NO business interfering with Business. (I can give you over 15 TRILLION reasons to back up my point).

They must be talking to people all along the route, not just in Nebraska, because they are talking to people on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Is this a setup to make Obama look like a great oilman?

It’s too late. Previously the US could demand a discount on the price of Canadian shale oil because the US was literally the only market for it. There were no pipelines anywhere else.

Thanks to Obama’s idiocy Canada is now running a pipeline to Vancouver for export to China. Now Canada can demand (and get) the world price for oil when selling to the USA.

Thanks, O-idiot.

That’s okay 0bama, I’ve got solar panels on the roof of my car and just poured some slimy algae into the ‘gas’ tank this morning.. Oh yes, and my two wind turbines on the hood and trunk are functioning well. By the way, the trunk is full of corn just in case I need to make ethanol after the algae runs out. By the way, I drive a Toyota Solyndra! /sarc

Nebraska has environmentally sensitive areas???!!! Wow, who would have known. Several years ago, my wife and I were traveling east from Wyoming, coming across Nebraska. We had to roll the windows up in the car, close outside vent from outside air. We could not breath for the STINK. Smelled like fresh s***! We drove ANOTHER TWENTY miles and finally found the source of the smell. Massive cattle pens along the interstate. Thousands of cows and the smell of their you know what. Once we got past the pens, the air cleared up. But, we smelled that smell for 20 miles at least!!! Some enviro sensitive area!!! :-)
