Severe Storms in Wichita. Large Tornado moving into Southwest part of city. Haysville, Derby, Wichita especially in the crosshairs. We're hunkered down here and prepared. It looks like it might miss us, but there are more storms expected tonight. Looks like a long evening. Stay Safe!
Woodward, Oklahoma got hit pretty hard.
Was that a couple hours ago maybe? If so, then that might have been the place they were referring to. It was definitely within the past few hours.

Weather Channel just now.
Kansas Gov has declared a disaster Emergency for the Greater Wichita area.
yeah...sadly, we’re going to be hearing about a lot of damage that occurred tonight.
Yeah. I think Woodward got hit about 12:20 Central time, if I remember right. I’ve been watching stuff pretty close tonight because these storms having been blowing up west of us and moving through.
Looks like the worst of it is past us now.
On a bright note, our whole region needed rain badly, and we got some. Thank God for that.
Getting a good down pour again right now, in fact.
Our country sure has had a lot of natural disasters/weather issues the past few years. I don’t suspect it’s a coincidence.
Praying that it will all calm down though....and that good will come out of this.
glad you’re getting much needed rain.
Imagine a 110MPH fastball hiting an object, now imaine hundreds of those fastballs hitting the same object.
Severe Weather May Continue After Twisters, Storms Pound Midwest
Injuries reported in Oklahoma town and small Iowa town reportedly nearly destroyed, though no deaths have yet been reported after over three dozen tornadoes reportedly touched down across the Midwest, as forecasters say severe weather could continue Sunday.
I’ve been in a hailstorm before, that stripped vegetation and banged cars up pretty badly. The only thing I could compare as far as the sound would be being in a metal garbage can while it was pelted with gravel continuously for over a half hour. Left two inches worth on the ground, thick ground fog formed as it melted.
That was minor compared to some of these reports.
4 fatalities reported from the Woodward, OK tornado including 2 children via @News9
Batten down the hatches and stay safe, everyone!
