RETIRE HATCH.... Too many times he has crossed the aisle....
I agree!
So who are these people who brought in a RINO to run against a RINO (using RINO the way the anti-Leftwingtards use it)?
Let's say the Republicans run the Senate and take over, and they do it without Lugar who is currently the Republican senator with the most seniority?
Does that mean Utah gets to take all the loot that would otherwise have gone to Indiana?
Might motivate me to go out there and vote numerous times ~ a task easily done BTW.
So according to Senator Hatch, who voted to increase the debt limit 16 times, if Utah residents don’t line up and support him then they are not Conservative but radicals and probably infidels too. I think he supports the severly conservative.
Lol, Romney isn’t a game changer? The Manchu
Senator from Indiana, doesn’t even live there.
Interesting that both Hatch and the other guy compare themselves favorably to him.
Your love affair with Teddy Kennedy and NPR reporters speaks way louder than your stupid puffery!!!
Oh! The red message came on when I tried to post this comment and told me that "Could not find anybody named 'Orin Hatch' so I guess he'll never see my courtesy ping. Darn it!!!
Now that's not much of a problem as long as the Democrats, where Hatch's fellow Momon, Harry Reid, rules the roost.
But change the game to one where the Republicans organize the Senate. Then that seniority deal becomes meaningful for Hatch and Lugar. In fact the folks behind Hatch know that with a Republican win if Hatch can become the Republican senator with the most seniority, gazillions of federal bucks will flow into Utah's coffers with ease!
Only Lugar stands in his way.
So what's this about Lugar not living in Utah? Hey, he doesn't need to!
Hatch and his handlers know all about Lugar. No doubt they've done all they can do (legally) to get rid of him.
I don’t care who you are or how long you’ve been in Congress. Follow the express limits codified in the Constitution or you will be sent packing.
That isn’t just a “radical libertarian” notion either...
A number of Senators through dint of longevity managed to make their otherwise barren wasteland states habitable ~
Arizona leaps to mind BTW,
and then there's Kennedy ~ he sucked down unimagineable billions to beef up Massachusetts already considerable education resources (both public and private).
Senator Douglas made sure the Lake MIchigan National Seashore was placed in Indiana and not Illinois.
Stennis ~ what can I say. Didn't he loot the Brooklyn Navy Yard? My goodness was that a bold move.
One can only imagine what the forces behind Hatch have in mind ~ maybe reversion of all federal lands to the state? Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
Who woke Hatch? Must be time to switch him from his winter to summer Bullet Proof Underwear>>>
Your right about the cash flow, no doubt he will bring up or already has brought up the wonderful new NSA collection center in Utah, etc.
Hatch would fit in well here with the way he thinks about libertarians.
I’m not a term-limits supporter, on the whole. I don’t care how many years someone stays in the Senate long as he doesn’t betray his principles. I someone is doing a really good job, then by all means re-elect him.
But Orrin Hatch has steadily moved left over the years. He no longer seems to have any principles. It’s not how long you’ve been there Orrin. It’s your betrayal of the base.
Utah Republican Orrin Hatch has spent 36 years in the U.S. Senate, <<<<
I rest my case your Honor!....
Lugar has a major position in a family farm ~ I’d suppose he has a corncrib or something to sleep in. Frankly, getting all exercised about any Senator’s living quarters just wastes time ~ the Constitution doesn’t say they have to live in a house!
We probably need age limits for Senators. When these guys get 80 years of age they are NOT doing an honest day’s work.
