Interesting that both Hatch and the other guy compare themselves favorably to him.

About Senatorial seniority ~ that's how they divide the loot. At the moment Hatch and Lugar are even in seniority except Lugar takes precedence since Indiana's population is larger than Utah. (Bigger states take more loot, eh).

Now that's not much of a problem as long as the Democrats, where Hatch's fellow Momon, Harry Reid, rules the roost.

But change the game to one where the Republicans organize the Senate. Then that seniority deal becomes meaningful for Hatch and Lugar. In fact the folks behind Hatch know that with a Republican win if Hatch can become the Republican senator with the most seniority, gazillions of federal bucks will flow into Utah's coffers with ease!

Only Lugar stands in his way.

So what's this about Lugar not living in Utah? Hey, he doesn't need to!

Hatch and his handlers know all about Lugar. No doubt they've done all they can do (legally) to get rid of him.
