Like so many of the other "old timers" in DC,they always play the "seniority card"(which means a bigger office and more lobbyist cash). BIG DEAL.....What expansion of government has Orrin ever stopped????

Just like to note that seniority in the Senate is exceedingly meaningful.

A number of Senators through dint of longevity managed to make their otherwise barren wasteland states habitable ~

Arizona leaps to mind BTW,

and then there's Kennedy ~ he sucked down unimagineable billions to beef up Massachusetts already considerable education resources (both public and private).

Senator Douglas made sure the Lake MIchigan National Seashore was placed in Indiana and not Illinois.

Stennis ~ what can I say. Didn't he loot the Brooklyn Navy Yard? My goodness was that a bold move.

One can only imagine what the forces behind Hatch have in mind ~ maybe reversion of all federal lands to the state? Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
