Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!
No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!
NO ROMNEY!!
Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!
Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.
In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.
FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!
We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!
I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!
FUMR!! FUGOP!!
Long live the rebellion!!
Hope my message is clear.
Why would I need kneepads unless I’m gardening?
UnLESS, MHGinTN, you were trying to be cute and using some sort of filthy, liberal sexual innuendo. You weren’t doing that, were you? I mean, you’re a good conservative, aren’t you?
I will not be campaigning for Romney, and unless we elect a conservative state committee at our convention next month, I’m leaving the GOP entirely. I’m going to register as an independent and seek out true conservatives to campaign for. In 20 years in Maine I’ve watched what Romney like moderates have done. They’ve aided King, Baldachi, they haven’t created a grass roots ground game to take on the liberal cabal. The state gop is worthless. The national gop is worthless. And it’s time for a legit, well funded third party.
“Who the F would vote for that clown Romney, anyway? Just sayin’. Count me still OUT.”
People whose idea of a living nightmare is to have that clown Obama in office for another four years. THAT’S who.
The Majority of Stupid will vote for Romney.
its called ideological weakness, find a person they can worship, doesn’t matter the past of that person, its all about acceptance of the herd, the herd is figuratively as dumb as cattle, they know not their future as steaks or beef jerky, all they want is to be part of the herd.
But Romney owns the slaughterhouse...
Oh yeah, it's just ludicrous to think we should have a party that stands on principle and constitutional precepts. It's just outright insane for conservative republicans to demand candidates and reps adhere to conservative principles and refuse to adapt democrat platforms!
I don't know when it will happen or how, but this republican party house is coming down one way or the other so you better prepare! How's that for "common sense?"
NO MORE RINOS!
Thanks for a thoughtful reply!
I’m confident that upon further reflection you’ll note the logical flaw in your argument.
Given you addressed that to me as well as Mr. Jim, I will assume then that my last reply to you hit a nerve, and you did not appreciate being called out on your condescension of Conservatives on this Conservative forum.
Since you equated Conservatism with tyranny, as if our principles are in opposition to the foundations this country was established if we demand a return to those being upheld, rebellion to those pushing your views is necessary.
Some call it cleaning house.
If there's anybody here who thinks Gingrich is a perfect candidate, it's not me. I supported Rick Santorum, with reluctance, because I think he was the best choice despite some legitimate concerns.
I'm responding with a “ping all” because I think something needs to be said that I haven't heard others saying. Read my last two paragraphs in this note. We need to get behind Gingrich, not because he's perfect, but because he's the only option left.
I've had two posts pulled because moderators believed I criticized Gingrich too strongly. Their call. (Private emails resolved both problems, BTW, and later posts saying the same thing were allowed to stay once I made clear why I was saying what I did.)
The choices now have come down to Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney.
Of those three candidates, Gingrich is the last option who I can support as an evangelical Christian. You won't hear me saying he's the best. You **WILL** hear me saying there is no other alternative left. I will also hear me saying that he has a credible claim to be personally repentant, and even if we don't believe he's repentant, he has a long track record of supporting cultural Judeo-Christian values, and that's better than the alternatives out there.
I'm not a defeatist. I don't take my marbles home and cry; I try to work with the cards I've been dealt. I can do that with Gingrich. I can't with Romney.
Romney simply cannot be trusted on key issues such as abortion and homosexual marriage. He does not meet the Romans 13 principles for civil government that, as an evangelical Christian, I need to seek out in a candidate for public office. Civil rulers are supposed to be a terror to the evil and unjust. How does Mitt Romney terrify the abortionists and advocates of homosexuality -- except that maybe they're afraid he'll keep up his flip-flops and they can't trust him either?
I sincerely believe that if Mitt Romney wins, it will be God's judgment on the Republican Party for our Laodicean compromising, and the willingness of too many Republicans to put economic improvement above moral values. Both are important, and I certainly believe in capitalism, but the Bible tells me the economy of Sodom and Gomorrah was doing pretty well, too. In Genesis 13:10, the “cities of the plain” were well-watered, but they were also exceedingly wicked, and God destroyed them not long after for their wickedness.
In a nation where people get to select their own leaders, generally people get the kind of leaders they deserve. The same goes for political parties. If the Republican Party wants to be the party of free enterprise but free of God's law so babies can be killed and homosexuals can get married, it's not my party anymore. Romney, unfortunately, seems to be taking that road.
Here hear!!!!
Yep...will try and remember...I’ll let you know though.
...and that remains in operation no matter what he says today... The deed was done. He'll enlarge that slaughterhouse as well.
We need to stop the insanity Romney cannot win this election!!!!!!
If it last 4 yrs, he'll try for 8...& the GoP-e won't allow other suitors.
Or just as bad, you pick one she wont marry...
So? As you said, there's a "next groom...someone you approve of." So, no marriage -- and having to wait 4 yrs for someone better to come along -- is better than a horrific marriage.
This will be my last post about this nonsense. I’m ready to move along and work on getting Obama out of the White House. What about you?
The original comment was about my commitment to Gingrich and the conservative cause. At some point there’s a likely chance that Romney will be the nominee and my point was that there are many people who will have to hold their nose and pull the lever for Romney. Are they less of a conservative because they will vote for Romney because they want Obama out? I say no. You do what you have to do- make an alliance with a person you don’t like because that’s the only alternative we’ve got at this point.
I’m not a Romney supporter, especially after what he did in Florida to a man I deeply care about. Sadly, I’ll support him because that’s the hand that’s been dealt.
Again, this is all assuming Gingrich can’t pull off an upset at the RNC.
The ‘name dropping’ was to establish credentials in an abbreviated amount of time.
Still in prayer for our Republic and Constitution to be saved, onyx. God bless you and yours onyx, and all who go to God in prayer, and another prayer for those who will not go to God in prayer, yet will vote. May God bless and keep our Republic and Constitution. In Jesus Name. Amen.
.... Elect Romney, on the other hand, and our side won't show near the opposition to his near-identical performance in office..... He's 85 mph to Obama's 100.... We still wind up in the same place, but with an avowed and transparent despot in office, there will be more OPPOSITION to his transgressions and over-reach....
Not so with the milk man, Romney,... who will lull a Republican Congress to sleep because he's 'their guy'. They will allow him ten times the latitude that they'd allow Obama, simply because he's sporting the right jersey.
Understand these dynamics,.. and understand that Romney is actually FAR MORE DANGEROUS to the long-term prospects of not only patriotic conservatism in the US, but the near-term survival of the nation as we know it".....
Exactly right Windflier! Nicely stated and the truth for those who have ears to hear.
