A Florida special prosecutor has decided to charge neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in the shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, sources told ABC News.
The decision by Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey is expected to be announced at a 6 p.m. news conference in Jacksonville, Fla.
The prosecutor's ruling is certain to provoke controversy in Sanford, Fla., where shooting took place and across the country.
Zimmerman, 28, a white Hispanic neighborhood watch captain, shot and killed Martin, who was 17 and black, on Feb. 26 after following the teenager for several minutes.
The special prosecutor's ruling came one day after Zimmerman's legal team quit because they had lost contact with him, and suggested that the pressure of the case had "pushed him over the edge."(continued)

Doesn't really matter what they think right now because they are engaged in a political game of Kick the Can Down the Road. They're like Scarlett O'Hara, depending on the kindness of strangers (read: the feds) and not thinking about it until tomorrow.
History is replete with seemingly innocuous events that usher in mob rule. We can now all tell our grandkids where we were when the first jew had his store front window smashed.
Question... if she is going to charge him, why are they expecting “controversy”? That is what the race-baiters and their syncopants want. This is all to weird.
Thanks for that. TNYT wouldn’t have pulled this cr*p twenty years ago!
I'm afraid the main objective of some is to defer disorder(from an acquittal) until closer to the Pubbie Convention.
These people don’t care about guilt or innocence, nor do they really care about Trayvon.
They are scared of these new laws that allow “whitey” to fight back.
Blacks are starting to feel offended as often as their slave masters the moose.
How it started it the perpetual anger the ENEMEDIA has drilled into Black folks heads!
They just look at Whitey, and get murder lust.
Some of us are gonna shoot if attacked, and the attackers are gonna die.
Tray picked the wrong knockout target, and failed his first punch.
Its sick what the media has done to George. They have virtually guaranteed that he can’t get a fair trial. Not being privileged to any of the facts, this is just so wrong from all/
“So, if there are white Hispanics, do white Caucasians white Negroes white Orientals white Arabs and white Indians etc. exist?”
I am very worried. Way back there, my great-great grandfather English man lived in Arkansas and married an American Indian woman from a tribe that stopped in Arkansas before before the rest of them continued their trek to Oklahoma to a reservation.
Think, at one time, I figured I was one thirty-second American Indian. The rest of me is English and I have blue eyes and blonde hair.
Am I now a white American Indian person? Worry, worry, worry.... /s/
The question to y’all is, what would you do if you were Zimmerman and the prosecutor was about to charge you in an incident that cannot be adjudicated fairly? Id go into unibomber hiding. The judicial system cannot fairly dispose of racial cases at this time.
With what discharging a weapon within so many feet of a residence?
What kind of government is it that would allow young black men to attack its citizens with impunity? I suppose the victim is supposed to remain passive until the point of death, and hope that after his or her passing, the legal system will lock the attacker up.
And why do we put up with this nonsense? Why don’t we just peaceably separate? Why not be two countries, instead of fighting all the time? The 21% of the population who are liberal and want to run the nation have no respect for us, anyway.
Believe it or not, Zimmerman has a pretty good case for political asylum in another country. Pretty astounding in this day and age, but true. Look at the facts:
1. He can't get a fair trial here. Jurors will be intimidated.
2. If he turns himself in, there's a good chance it wouldn't even make it trial. After all, there's a bounty on his head.
3. It's obvious he'd get no civil rights protection from the national government here. In fact, they seem to be on the side of the mob, and will aid in the persecution.
4. The peace officers, whose duty it is to protect the innocent until proven otherwise, can't even protect itself from the political mob.
This is the book definition of a political refugee status. If I were him, and I couldn't get out of the country, I'd find a foreign embassy or consulate, and ask for protection. Yeah, I know it sounds third world, but he's got a case.
The special prosecutor is a gutless coward. She has only been reviewing the case two weeks, never even tried to interview Zimmerman and has a very questionable case with little in the way of forensic evidence or eyewitness testimony This is one of those cases where the politics of the issue takes precedence over the lack of evidence or the potential outcome of the case. She would rather lose than take the heat of a dispassionate review of the evidence. That is why she chose not to put the case in front of the grand jury for fear of a no bill.
I would love to see the tables turned on blacks, who are among the most publicly racist element in our society, and have the Federal laws on civil rights hate crimes used against them in black-on-white crimes.
Yep; no grand jury would have come close to indicting Zimmerman, given the available evidence.
You know thats not such a bad idea. It would be a huge black eye for the O administration. Very embarrassing but it sounds like he has a case.
“Brazil would be nice. If the facts prove him innocent he couldnt even count on the AG of the US to stand up for him. Its all about race and hes the wrong color.”
Remember, Zimmerman’s father was a judge. I would think he is the one who got the son out of Florida fast. This judge father knows the ropes. The son is very fortunate to have a judge father. Let’s give the judge father some credit for doing the right thing to save the son’s life and to know the right thing to do from here.
Jury intimidation.
