On March 17, I thought I had it all figured out. I wrote a post [1] on my blog in which I pronounced Americas most famous neighborhood watch captain guilty:

Good rundown of events. I have to admit that I had a myopic view of the incident initially. I thought Zimmerman was a cowboy out looking for trouble. I started getting suspicious when a witness, a blonde woman, came forward early to say that she heard the cries for help and the shot and concluded that it was Trayvon crying for help because, according to her logic, Trayvon was dead, ergo he must have been the one crying for help, and she was pretty darn sure of herself. I knew at that point that she may end up eating her words and there may be more to the story.
Blogs are news?? Who gives a sh*t what this pinhead thinks?
Same here. I never for a minute believed the MSM version of what happened. I posted on quite a few threads on FR and got a lot of hell from fellow FReepers on how I was wrong and how Zimmerman was a cold blooded murderer. I endured some very vicious attacks from other posters. I notice that they have all slithered off to hide their sorry butts now that the facts are dripping out.
It should be an embarrassment to them to have swallowed the MSM line so quickly and so deeply.
I’m pretty sure SWAMPSNIPER isn’t a “blog pimp”, if that’s the point you’re intending to make. :-)
I wont get fooled again, and I hope that prosecutor Angela Corey, who dismissed the grand jury this week, wont fall into the same trap of trying to pursue a narrative instead of true justice.
Amazing link, sick - thanks.
No, he didn't. The questionable judgement was Martin backtracking to confront Zimmerman.
Glad the author finally figured it out over the course of days or weeks. It took many of us here about two seconds.
>> Who gives a sh*t what this pinhead thinks?
I do. It’s a well-written, well-argued, factually complete piece. I’d rank it *ahead* of the typical work of many so-called “professional” pundits.
On the other hand, I’m quite familiar with your posts, and they’re all low-grade drivel, and arrogant to boot. So who gives a sh*t what YOU think?
Well, no. The point I’m making is that he claimed he was the author of this blog. Which he is not. Then he posted an excerpt. A crappy too short excerpt that provided NO content.
He then got pissy about it. He has - in effect - hijacked his own thread. Most replies are focused on his screw up, rather than the blog itself.
But since you mention that he is not a blog pimp, then I’ll consider that.
Done considering. He IS a blog pimp. He posted this blog in News and not blogger.
Where is humblegunner when we need him?
Swampsniper didn’t write the article and posted it the way it is titled.
It is a little confusing but if you go to Swampsnipers page and then compare him to a pic of Bob Owens at the top of the article they don’t even look related.
Sheesh, posting Nazi’s.
Why I Called George Zimmerman a Murderer, and Why I Was Wrong

This is what I see, it shows Bob Owens as the author, and Swampsniper as the poster. Where does it show Swampsniper as the author? Or am I late to the party and it’s been fixed by the mods?
“Have you ever STARTED a thread? There is no provision to put anyones name in the little boxes other than your own.”
“You’ve posted a total of 80 threads and 13,252 replies.”
So, yes, I’ve started threads before—80 of them, apparently. I haven’t started one in a month or two, but I do recall a box where one can write the author’s name. You must have filled in the box with your own screen name (albeit in lower-case) instead of the author’s name, presumably out of inexperience. That’s understandable, as is your frustration at FReepers who kept accusing you of having prejudged George Zimmerman when all you did was post an article.
However, when multiple FReepers point out that the false accusations against you stem from you having indicated that you were the author, you should have typed “d’oh!” or “oops!” or “sorry about that” and asked the Admin Moderator to correct the author’s name on the thread, instead of insisting that there was no way in which the author’s name could be included (something that you should have known right away that couldn’t be true, given that I assume you had seen threads before and they usually include the name of the author of the article being posted, not just the name of the poster).
Making a mistake when posting an article for the first time is nothing about which to be embarrassed; sniping at people who pointed out your mistake, and insisting that everyone else is wrong and you are right, is something else altogether.
I was out buying some Skittles. Did I miss something?
Did you get me my tea?

Yep, you’re late. See post 16, 18 and many others.
” Im quite familiar with your posts, and theyre all low-grade drivel, and arrogant to boot.”
Coming from you, nice compliment. Your ego is so fragile and juvenile that you call everyone arrogant that doesn’t agree with you. Grow up.
No one has criticized anyone for posting the correct name of the article—those are the rules. The problem is that Swampsniper listed his screen name as the “author” instead of writing “Bob Owens” or whomever, leading FReepers to assume that he wrote the thing. I merely pointed out what had led to so many FReepers’ confusion. I don’t believe I was rude at all.
BTW, I am not, and have never been, a “posting Nazi,” although some people have accused me of being a bit of a “grammar Nazi.” On that note, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that you should have written “posting Nazis” (indicating the plural) instead of “posting Nazi’s” (indicating a possessive). Glad to be of service.
Oh, that’s mature. Uh-huh. Shows real class.

And what’s worse... I’m stealing that to use myself very soon.
