We tried it? Free markets don’t have a minimum wage. Free markets don’t control when a family can have their kids work on their farm.

What we tried is huge bailouts, a monstrous increase in debt, Fed money printing and more intervention by government. That's what didn't work. Virtually every government action on the economy inflicts another wound to it.

Capitalism and free markets are not perfect. Like any system they have their flaws. However, it is light years ahead of any other system/scheme. Consider the alternatives that seem to be near and dear to your heart.
Socialism? Yeah, look how well that turned out for the Soviet Union, or any other Country that has tried it. They've all collapsed or, gasp, had to incorporate elements of capitalism to keep their economies afloat.
Fascism? Yeah, look how well that turned out for the people of Germany in the 1930s and 40s. Only cost the world a few million lives to turn that one around.
So hussein, we need to do more than just "try" capitalism. You don't just play at it or dabble in it. You should try something new, try adopting capitalism. I realize that goes against your narcissistic and fascist desire for power and control but as history shows us, those don't work.

Yes, we tried it. For the first 150 years of our existence as a Country. It took us from a backwater colony to a world superpower faster than ever recorded in human history.
