Scientists want to secure permission to fertilise the eggs, which have been produced from stem cells, to see whether reproduction this way is possible.
Researchers are working towards generating an infinite supply of human eggs which could allow older and infertile women to become mothers, the Independent newspaper reports.
Furthermore, some scientists have gone as far as to say the tests could uncover an ‘elixir of youth’ which would eliminate the menopause and allow older women to remain young and healthy, with the stem cell eggs replenishing their ovaries.
The teams from Edinburgh University and Harvard Medical School in the US are aiming to fertilise the eggs with human sperm, which would allow them to study them for the legal limit of 14 days, and they will not yet be transplanted into a human womb.
Edinburgh biologist Dr Evelyn Telfer told the newspaper: 'Could the fertilisation take place this year? Yes, absolutely.'
'If you can show you can get ovarian stem cells from the human ovary you then have the potential to do more for fertility preservation.'
How many times has this been explained to you yet you continue to try this ploy of shifting blame for man’s sins to God his creator? You are one dead souled puppy and you seem to have to work at it to remain a dead soul!
NO cheers, unfortunately.
one can only wonder........has fertilization not taken place already?
I can’t see a zealous grad student being bound by law.
...While millions are murdered in the womb.
As a live person, I’ll go with life. Is this relevant?
It’s easy enough to assume that researchers are busy trying to figure out how to turn off genes that create the head or brain, so they can do organ transplants without ethical concerns.
Even with God, the vreator of all? If God knows something will happen, doesn’t it have to happen?
“But He also knows those free will decisions and their results, before they are made, right?”
And, He knew what he would have to do to then solve the problem. He would, in the 2nd person of the Trinity, offer himself as the required sacrifice for sin. “For God so LOVED the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
As a wretched sinner, I can attest to you the power of God to change hearts. “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”
How many times have I explained to you, that I do not consider it blame, but responsibility? Are you so negative that you cannot see the difference?
Why do you constantly associate these questions I pose to people, with being a dead soul?
Why do you believe God considers this a problem? Why don’t you consider it as one of God’s mysteries and just part of His plan?
One of these days Cher is going to smile, her face will crack and then we'll see the Hag out of the Bag.
Two reasons. One, he refers to sin throughout his word as a “problem”. He did not want us to live eternally apart from him so he kept Adam and Eve (and the rest of us) from the tree of life. Two, if he did not consider sin a problem, why did he offer himself as the solution?
Debate is pointless, though. If you truly want answers from God, ask him. He loves you and has given you his word (the Bible) to help you. He does not hide from those who truly seek him.
Lawyers and Dictators everywhere are breathless on this one.
I'm thinking part of the Gay Revolution.
Well, I don’t seek answers from God. I ask people in the hope that they will answer with what they think, instead of what they have read.
Outrageous and sad! Can S & G be far behind?
His "knowing" what will happen does not preclude His approval. Example: You are looking out a sealed window and notice a child chasing a ball into the street. You also notice a truck barreling down the road. You know what is about to happen but cannot prevent it from happening.
God has given man the gift of "free will". We choose how to use it.
Something resembling the film 'Rosemary's Baby'.
Fascist Pigs breeding indoctrinated jackbooted mongrel enforcers while the hard working dumass horse pays for everything.
Absurd arrogance, is it not?
