President Obama, in defending his vision of government's role in American lives, has increasingly turned to variants of two terms: "American exceptionalism" and "socialism."
"My entire career has been a testament to American exceptionalism," said the president on Monday. "I will cut some folks some slack for now because they are still trying to win their nomination."
Obama followed that remark on Tuesday by equating his tax increases with those of Ronald Reagan "who as I recall is not regarded as a tax-and-spend socialist," as he put it.
At a fundraiser, last night, Obama affirmed the importance of "exporting our values" because "that’s part of what makes us exceptional." Earlier in that same speech, he said "we should have a commitment to our seniors and to the disabled . . . That’s not socialism," he added.

he is already on record as saying there is no such thing as “American Excptionalism” — that the USA is the same as Luxembourg or Haiti in terms of its meaning on the world stage. That every country has “(country) exceptionalism” — he won’t acknowledge that the USA is the greatest force for good on the planet ever. If we wanted to we could conquer the planet in pretty short order — American Exceptionalism is what keeps us from doing so.
Release the college transcripts. The REAL birth certificate would be a bonus.

Obama is a socialist/communist. We are about to be asked to decide between him and another socialist/communist in November. I will say it again, I will never vote for either.
Calling Zero a Socialist is like calling him a right-winger.

What is the difference between a socialist and a Democrat? What is the difference between Ovomit and any other Marxist rabble-rouser who has injured mankind?
Democrats are generally less intelligent, and more gullible. Ovomit is less intelligent, with less scruples.

Career? What career? He's been nothing but a grievance monger, a communist, and an anti-American pol. I don't know what is more ridiculous - the notion that he's had a "career" or that he thinks he's a champion of American Exceptionalism. Every day he opens his yap and another pathetic utterance falls out.
