...If it's Mittens what are YOU going to do...are you going to swallow DEEP, PLUG yout NOSE and vote for "him" OR WAHT?
I'm not surprised that there were at least a few close states.IIRC Missouri was close too and went for Bush but, obviously,it's a large state...or at least it's not small.New Hampshire is the only *small* state that I recall having been close and having gone to Bush.
Romney has only mentioned repealing Obamacare about 50 times in the campaign so far. he will gut it, repeal it, and take a federalist approach on healthcare reform. He will sign the repeal bill that a republican Congress sends him. Yeah, it’s absurd of us to nominate a guy who implemented Romneycare, but repeal of Obamacare is his mandate:
“President Obamas trillion dollar federal takeover of the U.S. health care system is a disaster for the federal budget, a disaster for the constitutional principles of federalism, and a disaster for the American people.
On his first day in office, Mitt Romney will issue an executive order that paves the way for the federal government to issue Obamacare waivers to all fifty states. He will then work with Congress to repeal the full legislation as quickly as possible.
In place of Obamacare, Mitt will pursue policies that give each state the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own citizens. The federal governments role will be to help markets work by creating a level playing field for competition. “

romney, mccane, dole, just another rino I will not vote for, unfortunatly the GOP establishment is to dumb to learn.
I won’t vote for Romney. I’ll write in Sarah Palin
What makes you think that Romney plans to put conservatives on the bench?
“Sunshine Patriots”.
If Romney wins, in two years, congressional elections will likely swing to Democrats, and we will have a GOP-labeled RAT with a RAT congress.
Unless one thinks Justice Souter was conservative.
The only thing we can be *certain* of is that Romney's nominees won't be any worse that Osama's.And it's distinctly possible (I'd say "likely") that Romney's would be at least a *bit* better. And who knows..........*maybe* they'd be *noticeably* better.
Oh yeah, sure he will.
But obama is??!!?
I’m in Texas so the Republican will win, with or without my help. But I am more willing to vote for Romney than I am McCain. At least Romney didn’t spend the last decade trashing Bush every time a tv camera was pushed into his face like McCain did from ‘00 to ‘08. Romney is far from who I’d like to see as our nominee but at least he’s not the punk and traitor to the party that McCain is. And I’m hopeful Romney’s daughters won’t turn into embarrassing tramps the way McCain’s daughter is.
So, yes, I will hold my nose and vote for Romney if I need to. However, if a better conservative is running third party (In 2008, I vote for the Constitution Party), then I will vote that way in the general election since Texas is not a toss-up state. If Romney can’t carry Texas against Obama, we’re looking landslide re-election anyway and then Bye Bye America.
Pending Supreme Court appointments?
National Security threats?
Debauching the Currency?
The Nanny State?
Exponential debt growth?
Communist cabinet officers?
Racism?
Hatred for America?
Alinskyite Brown Shirts?
Class Warfare?
We can’t score a touchdown until we get the ball back!
ABO!
I’ll do it. Anyone but Obama. I won’t be proud. The Supreme Court is up for grabs. Anyone but Obama.
Ditto, A.B.O.
Who gives a rip about what the Republican party thinks?! Who did the party prevent from running? Is there some great conservative who really wanted to run, but the party held them back??
Wouldn't it be great to have a nice, solid conservative as the candidate. And you think we don't - because of the party? No, the party doesn't vote for candidates - it's the voters, stupid! (or more accurately perhaps - the stupid voters 8^)
Conservative have a grand history of being home to the congenital complainer. Those individuals who, when everything is not perfectly to their satisfaction, take their ball and go home. Why? For the sole purpose of the chance to gloat "Na nah! See - I knew you couldn't win without me!".
Those who don't vote - for lack of a preffered candidate - may think it's principled. I disagree - it's simply petulance & whining...
Perhaps we hate Romney because we love America. Have you considered that?
Romney will massage fascism until it’s palatable, huh?
