MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Eighteen men were arrested as part of a sex sting operation involving a public restroom in Manhattan Beach.
The lifeguard staff at the Marine Avenue headquarters originally noticed vandalism and what was called suspicious activity at the restroom and notified police. Lifeguards also noticed men frequently using and returning to the same bathroom, and some were loitering in the area as well as inside the restroom for long periods of time.
Officers set up surveillance at the restroom. Detectives also began monitoring several websites where discussions of the Marine Avenue bathroom were taking place. Based on the information gathered, investigators concluded that the public restroom was being used as a meeting place for sexual activity.

The Manhattan Beach Marine Street public restroom is immediately adjacent to the Junior Lifeguard program, where hundreds of young boys and girls learn ocean survival, swimming, and conditioning. The kids use that very restroom after the morning and afternoon sessions. You can see the parents picking up their kids at that location all day, every day during summer.

The first two are not in the US. I got those pics from a site called www.thecoolhunter.com/lifestyle. The third on is from a dam in Washington, I believe. That is an intake for water that deposits it into a creek on the other side of the dam. It is a much more glorious glory hole.

I think you're right. I remember when I heard that news saying, no kidding, I'm not surprised.
The highway rest stops are awful for that too. I was traveling on business about 20 years ago and stopped to use the restroom outside of Little Rock and this creepy dude who had been hanging around outside followed me in and stood at the urinal next to me. So I quickly left but in agony because I really needed to go badly. I hung a U turn and used the one on the other side of the Interstate. Wouldn’t you know it, as I was leaving that pervert was pulling in to a parking lot on that side waving to me to come and talk to him. If I had been in more familiar surroundings I probably would have gone over and beat the crap out of him.
I see that the sting operation bore uh, fruit.
Great idea for a horror movie in the same genre as crazed trucker kills innocent tourists. It would get loads of advertising as the gays would label it "homophobic" and protest. It might even work out really well in that the gays would stop doing it in the same way people stopped going to the beach after JAWS came out.
