I so tire of hearing people say: "I'm not voting for him, but I think Obama's going to be reelected". They cite his prediction of raising a $1 Billion Campaign Warchest. But, that is not even a sure thing. His fundraising, as was recently reported, is lagging far behind what they expected to have at this juncture. In addition to that, here are some other reasons why Obama can lose in November:
#1. The Black vote will be the same percentage, but not the same number. The new has worn off; the novelty is gone. And, many in the Black Community are disappointed in him because he has not delivered for the Brothas like they thought he would. No house, no free car, no free gasoline...... They will not clear out of the jail houses, HO houses and crack houses to vote for Obama in '12 like they did in '08.
#2. The Hispanic vote will be less than in '08. He has done NOTHING about Comprehensive Immigragtion Reform as he promised as candidate Obama in '08 and has really done NOTHING for the Hispanic community.
#3. The enthusiasm, even from the Ultra-Libs, is not what it was in '08. We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan and Americans are still dying there. GITMO is still open; not closed as he promised and he really has no victories for Liberal causes on which to hang his laurels. And if ObamaCare is thrown out by the Supremes, watch for the fecal material from the Left, to hit the proverbial fan.
#4. The youth vote will NOT be in '12 what it was in '08. They're out of College now and can't find a job. They will not turn out for Obama in '12. Because they are disappointed and disillusioned, they might sit out 2012. Among those who do vote, I look for the GOP to win in this demographic in November. And let's not forget those UNEMPLOYMENT numbers affecting every demographic category.
#5. And finally, SOMETHING MANY HAVE FORGOTTEN: The pundits on both sides predict this will be a very close Election. Many people have forgotten that since the '08 Election, we had a Census. As a result of the 2010 Census, the Blue States lost 11 Electoral Votes and the Red States gained a net 11 Electoral Votes. Take 11 EVs from Obama and add 11 EVs to the Pubbie, that's a 22 EV difference. In a close Election, that's a chunk.
So, even if Romney is the GOP nominee, there will be more Obama supporters sitting this one out than there will be Ultra-Conservatives who will not vote for Romney and will vote for down-ballot races only. So, don't throw in the towel on the Prez race. BUT......
IMO, it is just as, or more, important for us to regain the Senate and keep the House. That will stop Obama's Marxist agenda in it's tracks and possibly save this great nation.
You can’t compare ‘08 to 2012. Obama has a record now and it is a record of failed policies, no accomplishments, horrendous debt and high unemployment and gas prices. But, never think I’m taking anything for granted. I’m not; but, Prez dude can be beaten.
We lose to Obama 55-45%
Senate- Dems gain 3 seats
House- Dems gane 32 seats (Pelosi gets gavel back)
Once Romney gets nominated, the Dems will open the floodgates on him.
Nicolae Carpathia...... Obama???? Not hardly. He’s not smart enough to be the Anti-Christ; seriously.
I’ve not supported Romney during this entire Primary Process. But, don’t underestimate the guy. He’s been running for the Oval Office for 6 years. He wants this thing worse than anyone I’ve ever seen in my life. He has the HUNGER and the $$$$. He will fight for this with everything he’s got. And, I bet that every Mormon in the world will send money to his campaign and those in the U.S. will work for him; guaranteed.
Do not count RINO dude out.
Come on Thunder90.... get over your bitterness. This is the hand we’ve been dealt; suck it up.
However, obama won't act according to the habits/norms of past elections. My reading of history tells me that marxists don't play nice, and they certainly don't play by the rules. We need to be prepared for anything...literally.
Either Carpathia or Jamal Tambor
Then conservatives will be compelled to vote 3rd party or not at all.
if I could clarify....
I am for the idea of a Conservative third-party candidate mainly because even GOP insiders appear to believe that Romney cannot win.
And if they are saying that now, I don’t trust them not to take a dive. I tend to believe that they did with McCain anyhow.
IF we can see a serious movement for this party to think it can win with Romney, and IF he is willing to take some steps over to our side, I would certainly be willing to vote for him in order to defeat Obama.
But I am not willing to throw my vote away if the GOP leadership has already quietly conceded. In that case it’s on to my next-best objective, which is purging RINOs.
We keep putting off this confrontation with the GOP establishment and cannot continue to do so forever.
Here is the hand we are dealt - Die by 1000 45 slugs or die by 1000 22 slugs.
Either way, we are dead.
Romney is NO DIFFERENT than Obama, besides maybe Romeny is not 1/2 black.
I have a friend who has Mormon connections, though not one himself. He has assured me many times over that the Mormon Machine will be relentless and will be instrumental in getting Romney in the WH.
Yep....they are worthless when it comes to taking a stand....since they haven't now what makes anyone believe they will later...it'll be a theatrics and drama as we've seen in the past...nothing more.
As I see it the only hope we have is states fight....we al ought to move to a few states and tell them to stuff it. This whole primary has been disgusting....our last hope is Newt....and he needs to pull all the stops ahead to change this.
Definately....no question about that...and they have international pull as well.
I agree; too many people are worse off than 4 years ago, and not in ways the media can spin.
He has governed as though he knew it would be one term (he probably knew that in ‘09, after losing statewide races in NJ, MA, and VA one year after they voted for him); there is simply no motivation for people (outside of the unassimilated permanent underclass, homosexuals, and government workers that survived layoffs) to support him.
“You cant compare 08 to 2012.”
You’re right; that would be Obama’s worse nightmare. If people compared their situations in 2008 (salaries, assets, prices, etc.) to 2012, Obama wouldn’t even bother running for re-election.
I really am surprised he wasn’t challenged with a primary; starting about a year ago his rhetoric was all directed towards preventing one.
Conservatives are smarter than to vote 3rd party in this election. That would be suicide. No matter how much Romney is disliked, he is ANYBODY but Whatshisname and there’s no room for waffling this November. (I will have to be sedated, but I will vote for Romney if necessary)
#6 - Gas at 5 dollars a gallon this summer
#7 - No matter what the media says, inflation is up...check food prices!
