...primaries how many would he have? Just wondering if Newt or Rick has EVEN a ghost of a chance or is it OVER?
Is a “Brokered Convention” even possible now?
Only Mitt can get 1144 delegates. The only hope is denying him that number and having a successful convention challenge.
As Mitt is almost tied with Rick in PA, stopping Romney is looking less and less possible as we go along........
1702 plus other assorted non-voted for delegates. This is assuming they take away the FL and AZ delegates he should not have recieved.
Bound delegates: These pledged delegates are legally bound to vote for a candidate for at least the first ballot at the National Convention. Some are unbound.
The Republican establishment has it setup so that they control the outcome, so . . .
Whether you support Santorum or Newt, what is so totally demoralizing, disheartening and discouraging about this is the fact the media, last week, was full of stories about the GOP push underway to anoint romney via endorsements, mathematical possibilities, etc - and here we are talking about it - just exactly like they planned. We have all been played, and I for one am not giving up.
Onto Tampa - hang tight - we can do this!
GO NEWT!!!!
No.
We can do what? I supported Newt. The voters have rejected him, and his unfavorable level is way too high. He’s down to 7-8% in today’s primaries.
A wise old cowboy told me: “When your horse is dead...get off.”
There is one way, Tell those dumb people not to vote for Romney!
WE HAVE ALL THESE DEM FREAKS POSTING SNEIDE COMMENTS AGAINST MITT.THEY ARE OBAMA FANS POSING AS INTEESTED CONSERVATIVES.
Whoa, lignten up. People who disagree with some of Romney's positions are not "dem freaks".
And don't use all caps, it make you look stupid.
Based on the delegate count at Real Clear Politics, if Romney got all the remaining delegates, he’d have 1817, which is 673 more than the 1144 he’d need to clinch the nomination. Yes, it’s all over.
funny, but first time I've ever noticed you chiming in on a Newt thread.
