The Romney campaign, renown for its oppo-heavy strategy, didnt even have an oppo book on Rick Santorum a few days before the Iowa caucuses, so surprised were they by his surge. Jon Huntsman nearly decided in November to leave the GOP and run as an independent. And before one of the debates, Rick Perry sang Ive Been Working on the Railroad in a restroom. These details are from Mike Allen and Evan Thomas new e-book, Inside the Circus, as are these additional factoids below.

Your sentiments regarding Romney are appreciated however our Country needs to vote ABO if we are going to have a chance at saving it. Hell, if nothing else they vote for black man - we vote white. Having their best force feed me lies has created a bitter divide and they earned it.
Heh! Good one! I'll have to remember that line...
Romney-Huckabee. I’ve been calling that one for years. Wait and see.
Romney is a dirtbag. I’m writing in Palin’s name on my ballot.
To change my tag line...
This man is one of the most despicable individuals I have ever seen. I never really hated anyone in my life until Obama came along, and now Willard makes two. I just hope God will forgive me and help me with it, because I am powerless not to hate those two SOBS on my own.
Well, I heard that Romney is planning to bring back Hitler from his planet to run as his V.P., if he manages to buy the nomination.
Palin/West even better
Yes, I’d vote for that one!
if i MUST vote, then i will vote libertarian. i will NOT vote for romney! get it? we have a choie between a white liberal and a black liberal. either will damage the country.
Mitt Romney raised millions in March by warning would-be donors a brokered convention could mean a Huckabee-Palin ticket:
[O]n March 14 and 15, Romney had raised over $3 million in New York and Connecticut. The Romney campaign had a clever pitch for the event. Schmoozing with his money pals before the events, a Romney fund-raiser pointed out that slightly more than half the delegates to the GOP convention at Tampa are evangelicals. These true-believer conservatives are averse not only to Romney but to semi-reasonable types like Chris Christie and Mitch Daniels. As a result, said this fund-raiser, the responsible Republican guys are starting to realize that at a brokered convention its not going to be Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush and Paul Ryan, a ticket they could really love. Its probably Huckabee-Palin or Palin-Huckabee. That was enough to scare the Wall Street crowd into getting out their checkbooks.
