Justice Sonia Sotomayor's Shocking Ignorance

The liberal Supreme Court justices have demonstrated profound and shocking ignorance of the American health care system. Here's one of the most jarring examples:

"What percentage of the American people who took their son or daughter to an emergency room and that child was turned away because the parent didn't have insurance," asked Sotomayor, "... do you think there's a large percentage of the American population that would stand for the death of that child -- (who) had an allergic reaction and a simple shot would have saved the child?"

The percentage of American people who took their son or daughter to an emergency room and were turned away because the parent didn't have insurance is exactly zero.

No person, whether American or not, is ever turned away from an emergency room for lack of health insurance. Ever.

Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) is a U.S. Act of Congress passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). It requires hospitals to provide care to anyone needing emergency healthcare treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. Participating hospitals may only transfer or discharge patients needing emergency treatment under their own informed consent, after stabilization, or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment.

You can thank Republican President Ronald Reagan for that, for better or for worse.

IF you are deluded enough to think Romney is any less evil than Obama, then you complement me to call me a “nut job.” Romney is chocolate covered poison...and insidious evil. Obama is an obvious evil. Whatever, BOTH are equally evil and neighter should be POTUS. Whether Obama gets reelected, or Romney somehow wins....WE LOSE.

So, I’m sticking to principle and fighting this. I WILL NOT tolerate a Romney candidancy. I WILL NOT tolerate a Romney administration (of course it won’t happen). A vote for Romney is a vote against a conservative GOP...and destructive to its reclaimation.

Let me help clarify your thinking. Obama is a “nominal” Christian (in name only) with Islamic leanings. However, he is not a radical Islamist...he is just stupid.

Romney is a 100% committed Mormon and takes his belief systme seriously. However, Morman’s have a history of being slippery about what they REALLY believe. However, IT DOES strongly affect their actions. Also, unlike President Kennedy who was a nominal Catholic, Romney is a REAL Mormon. He will have a hotline to his “prophet” in Utah.

Joseph Smith was one of the greatest con-men of the 19th Century. The 20th Century’s was L. Ron Hubbard. Either way they hold to false belief systems that have NO basis in Biblical Christianity.

I can hear someone thinking, well Romney will help the economy....False...he was a venture capitolist of the worst sort. The bottom line for his company was maximum profit regardless of the human suffering. I believe in capitalism, but not vulture capitalism of the Romney sort.

At any rate, Romney’s experience is NOT what is needed to move the economy forward. We conservatives know that the least repressive regulations as possible and the lowest taxes possible are what spur growth. American companies must be able to compete with cheap foreign labor. Excessive regulations, AKA EPA, are just one example of things that suppress businesses which provide jobs that provide spending and revenue to support necessary governmental functions like national defense and infrastructure (interstates).

Romney will be no better than Obama on the economy. Plus, regardless of what he says, he WILL push for national health insurance like the Mass.

Romney is NOT a viable choice.

You don't have “clarify my thinking” because I know what obama is and is not. The only time he was ever introduced to Christianity was when he went to church with his wife. He was raised by an atheist mother, communist/atheist grandparents and a muslim stepfather. His muslim “leanings” caused him to lean/bow to the king of saudi arabia(if that didn't alert you, nothing will). obama is a muslim whether you want to believe it or not. I will vote for Newt in the Texas primary and the Republican in the general and you and I will just have to agree to disagree because I am bored with our conversation.

He also bowed to the Japenese Emperor and many others. He bows to every foreign group except our allies. I have no doubt he is only nominally a christian and has muslim leanings.

However, Romney is a real honest to goodness Mormon which makes him suspect as well. Just like Islamists....where ever Mormons are in the majority, other religious groups are suppressed. Try being devotely something other than a Mormon in Utah. It is not as bad as it used to be, but it is bad. You can be an atheist and not be bothered, but try being an evangelistic person from a real Christian denomination. You will be persecuted.

I really don’t care IF you are bored with this discussion. I’m going to keep preaching that conservative folks should not support Romney in the general election and make that fact known to the RNC. Maybe they will wake up and stop supporting non-starters like Romney.
