House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) is expected to endorse Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney before Wisconsin's GOP primary next Tuesday, according to media reports.
Ryan would be the latest in a string of high-profile endorsements for Romney this week, as party leaders have increasingly coalesced around the former Massachusetts governor's campaign. The Wisconsin lawmaker would join popular freshman Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former president George H. W. Bush in signaling support for Romney this week.

You don’t get it. We’ve already lost.
No, YOU don’t get it!..........YOU have already lost, WE still have a chance to win with or without you. You can pout in your bunker the rest of your life for all we care. The rest of us have a job to do, and that is to first, get Obama out of office, any way legally possible.
Heh...I find this statement remarkable considering how it comes from an individual who mercilessly trashed Sarah Palin over the past three years, jumped on the Perry bandwagon last September, bragged about how big oil money would push Perry straight into the White House, jumped off the Perry bandwagon and onto Newt's, and is now openly criticizing "radical fringe" FR Conservatives for not embracing Romney.
What a GOP-E tool you are...
If Romney takes the nod..Obmama/Romneycare is a lock from the administrative branch. If you are so h@ll bent on voting for a socialist and socialized medicine..why don’t you just vote for Obama? The leftist have control of both Romney and Obama..so why not save conservatives a truckload of cash and just hand the keys back to the current occupant/tool?
I’m not giving sKerry Romney one thin dime, let alone a vote. All my time and money will go down ticket to the conservative candidates for the Hill. Neither Romney nor Obama will get rid of fascist O’deathcare, I’m not voting for either one of them...period.
IMO, none of those three will endorse before a candidate is nominated, i.e., an ABO.
It was rhetorical, but yeah .. I know.
I feel your pain, I'm no Mittens fan either, but I'll hold my nose and vote for him, and here's why.
For my Brother, who at this very moment is sitting in his FOB in Afghanistan, who tells me that the morale of his his men is so low, that he worries for their mental health, because of the actions of “The Apologizer in Chief”
For my Cousin, who right now is aboard ship headed for the Middle East, so that she is not a sitting duck, with ROE so insane, they can't defend themselves.
For the guys I served with, who are now Senior NCO’s trying to motivate their platoons and companies/batteries while their soldiers focus on trying to repair broken marriages, and destroyed families because of multiple deployments.
For the guys I work with, who watched their “President” say the police acted “stupidly” on the Henry Louis Gates incident..Romney is not perfect, but we cant afford Obama redux...
Its amazing how many people on this board are suddenly going wobbly for Romney, aint it, especially after all the documented damage his minions have done to Conservatives in general, and Sarah Palin in particular, since 2008?
I’m far more amazed that people on this board have gone wobbly for Santorum. The guy is basically the living embodiment of the Republican Leadership for the last 20 years, with the exception of his strong pro life stands. How in the world did he go from former generic senate Republican, to Tea Party hero in 4-5 months? This is the guy conservatives bailed on after Medicare Part D and the Specter/Toomey debacle. I find it amazing that people are treating Santorum as if he’s our only hope to stop the Republican establishment from doing that types of things he supported when he was part of the Republican establishment.
I get why people don’t like Romney. I just don’t understand why they thick Santorum is a solution. I’d have voted for Gingrich, Cain, Perry and Bachmann over either Santorum or Romney, but I’m ambivalent as between the two of them. I can see why people would just pick the one that they believe more likely to win.
Once the race reaches Pennsylvania, you can bet that Patty Toomey will line up behind Romney. Remember Patty Toomey came out in favor of repealing Dont Ask Dont Tell, right after he was safely elected Senator.
***
And so will Governor Corbett and the rest of the phony Republicans in thus state.
But it won’t matter since the fix is in and Romney will be the candidate. Might as well cancel the primary. Our vote doesn’t count anyway.
And all this, coming from a malcontent Retread, formerly known as Virginia Ridgerunner, who went storming out of this forum in a rage because Palin dropped out, and then came back under a new name because you did not have the courage to admit you were wrong.
Then you come back with your usual habit of making rude personal attacks on all who you do not like or who share your narrow ideology. And you always accuse them of being for the enemy, who ever that is at any given moment.
Yes some of us DO have YOUR number far more than you have ours.
By "WE," do you mean actual Conservatives, or liberal Republicans like yourself?
Well, good luck with that.
“Romney will refuse to change the way DC does business. The only difference is that his czars(and there now IS precedence) will be multimillionairesno one of substance for the simple peasants. By the next election, people will be so disgusted that it will, once again, be a democratic House, Senate and presidencyand no one to stop the final act of the destruction of the US.”
Folks will go to any lengths to justify why another Obama term is preferable to a Romney presidency. The “final act of distruction” will be Obama’s 2nd term. Disclaimer: Romney’s my second-to-last choice (right before Obama - who’s tied with Satan).
Obamacare, abortion, and homosexual marriage are the legacy of Mitt Romney. They represent everything Romney has done in MA.
I supported Mitt Romney in the 2008 primary against McCain. I was originally a Fredhead but decided Romney would be better than McCain. I voted McCain against Obama.
Since then I have learned about Romney PERSONALLY forcing Catholic hospitals to commit what they believe to be murder through the administration of the morning-after pill. He says it’s OK because it is the state and not the feds who are establishing a government religion and forcing people to obey it. Which fits right in with the way the Islamists have always tried to take over a nation: local areas first and then spreading to the whole. Romney may have the best of intentions, but even his good intentions will land us the same place as Obama is taking us. And that is with a sharia government.
I REALLY don’t want to have to choose between a slow, good-intentioned death and a fast, deliberately evil death to this country. I’m not even willing to think about that being the choice I’m eventually forced into making. At this point we have to do everything in our power to make sure that we have a different option. We just have to.
I’m not sure how that can happen but I’m pretty sure it needs to happen by people making sure they vote in the PRIMARY as if it was a primary and not the general election. As long as we get a candidate who is not totally disgusting we can run the “Anybody But Obama” campaign in the general. What I can say is that for me and a lot of other people, Romney is disgusting. For me it’s because he is the candidate who will bring well-intentioned sharia. For others Rick Santorum is the disgusting candidate, because he’s perceived as a smug Pope - which people perceive as Christian sharia.
Right now the nominee that makes the most sense to me is Gingrich. Gingrich/Cain. For a variety of reasons.
Good reasons to vote for “Anybody But Obama”. I literally get physically sick when I really think about the way this country has shafted our military people by putting a foreign enemy combatant into the White House - who they have to take orders from, even though he agreed with Soros (during the 2008 primary, according to democrat sources) to destroy America and expressed that willingness to the Egyptian ambassador in January of 2010.
During the primary, though, we can choose an “Anybody” that doesn’t have to be one who forces Catholic hospitals to commit what they believe to be murder.
If everybody chose to vote in the primary for an “Anybody” other than Romney, then we could still vote against Obama without having to vote for somebody who supports the unconstitutional and government-religion concepts of Obamacare only done at the state rather than federal level.
Tell your brother, cousin, and the guys you served with that I hate what America has done to them, that I thank them for what they’ve given, and that I pray for them constantly and will be doing everything in my power to undo what an idiot nation did when they elected Obama.
good points. Exactly right. mitt will NEVER get my vote. It's astounding how people actually believe mitt would be better than Obama. They haven't a clue.
As for Ryan, I was criticized when I slammed him some months back as not being a true Conservative. The guy voted for Medicare Part-D, No Child Left behind, corn subsidies, etc.
Ryan is above all a technocrat. In no way does he hold dear principles in the way our Founders or Reagan held them. No endorsement will sway me.
I am at total peace knowing that the slimy, evil, elitist, Conservative hate mitt will NEVER get my vote. He is as big a fraud as Obama.
