The study found that people who frequently ate chocolate had a lower body mass index (BMI) than people who didn't.
The researchers found that the participants - who were an average age of 57 - ate chocolate for an average of twice of week and exercised roughly 3.5 times per week. But the more frequent chocolate-eaters had smaller BMIs, a ratio of height and weight that's used to measure obesity.
What explains the effect? Even though chocolate can be loaded with calories, it's full of antioxidants and other ingredients that may promote weight loss, the researchers said.

I think the secret to eating chocolate is to let it melt in your mouth. Savor it. By that time, sweet cravings have been satisfied.
I have 2 lbs of dark chocolate and 2 lbs of white chocolate in the freezer. They're taking up a lot of space.
I will now have to force myself to eat a little bit each week. I'll schedule Wednesdays and Saturdays for this chore.
Wow, I’m not worthy. I go from 70% to 85% but never 100%. I was shocked that I could give up my previous favorite milk chocolate. Now dark is more tasty and more satisfying, and milk is far too sweet.
Oh man, I’m gonna get the 6 bars of Snickers next time I’m in the store.
I think it’s also good to point out thatthis must be dark chocolate, not the sugar stuffed milk-chocolate (though I admit, I prefer milk chocolate :)

Yes! Those are like crack - the crunch first, then smooth sweet creamy chocolate. Now I’m craving it like the junkie that I am. LOL!
