Some of my liberal friends praised this group as being representative of the "people." Perhaps some will now see the light.

“Like that’s a bad thing?”
Indeed. Millions of teenagers would have to learn how to talk to people.

When is Anonymous going to be treated by the Department of Homeland Security like the terrorist group they really are? Never mind stupid question. I forgot they fit into the plan to radically change this country, along with their evil spawn Occupy.

You are so right. Anyone here on a conservative forum that thinks this would be a good thing haven’t really thought this through. Knock out E-Commerce even for a few hours can cost billions. A few days would be a disaster on a Biblical scale.

I posted here a few months ago statements by Anonymous that they were going to hack voting Machines in the Nov General election. Leftist talk radio host Mike Malloy used his radio show to ask his listeners to help Anonymous hack the voting machines. I heard him on several occasions myself. Malloy asked listeners to commit a felony and nobody cares. Rush calls someone the “S” word, and all hell breaks loose.

Without the Internet, what is Anonymous going to do with himself (themselves)... shout from Mom’s basement how AWESOME he is?

I'll be annoyed while I'm waiting for my ham radio to charge to full capacity. At that point, my comms are back. Given this early "heads up", I'll put the rig on the charger ahead of time. Might be a great time to make a visit home to Idaho.

I’m not so sure these guys are all they’re cracked (sic) up to be. They do a lot of posturing and preening and grandiose threatening, but then seem to always come up short. I suspect they’re just a bunch of script kiddies that fancy themselves some kind of cloak-and-dagger secret society.

My packet gear has been mothballed since about 1987. I had a Heathkit TNC with a KISS ROM installed so that I could run the KA9Q NET/NOS code. At that time, I was actively contributing to that code base. I really need to make a trip to HRO to get some more current hardware/software.

Yeah...300 baud! Was pretty exciting to connect to someone back then - the thrill is definitely gone! Although FR wouldn’t lose much in text mode at least...

Malloy asked listeners to commit a felony and nobody cares. Rush calls someone the S word, and all hell breaks loose. The difference being that millions of people know who Rush Limbaugh is.
